Well Snow decided to go hells bells with accusations of Hightop being an Alt. I encouraged him to report him if he believed it turns out Snow doesn’t know how to use some functions in his 11months here. I messaged Mel to help him how to report it. Then he decides to confess that he has used an alt and wasn’t caught but decided to tell CJ what he did but was punished anyway and he’s sore at half of VUDU for cheating or using alts as he claims

USA : 27.31/100k

These figures are not weighted to account for percentage of assaults reported nor for differences in respective legal definitions of 'rape. That could swing either value given to a higher rate.

Whatever, it's not something either nation should take pride in by claiming a level of superiority merely because 'their' rate is marginally lower.

In a victory for survivors of rape and their advocates, the Attorney General announced a newly revised definition of rape for nationwide data collection, ensuring that rape will be more accurately reported nationwide. The change sends an important message to all victims that what happens to them matters, and to perpetrators that they will be held accountable. It was because of the voices of survivors, advocates, law enforcement personnel and many others that FBI Director Robert Mueller was able to make this important change within the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report (UCR) Summary Reporting System (SRS). “Forcible rape” had been defined by the UCR SRS as “the carnal knowledge of a female, forcibly and against her will.” That definition, unchanged since 1927, was outdated and narrow. It only included forcible male penile penetration of a female vagina. The new definition is:

“The penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim.”

For the first time ever, the new definition includes any gender of victim and perpetrator, not just women being raped by men. It also recognizes that rape with an object can be as traumatic as penile/vaginal rape. This definition also includes instances in which the victim is unable to give consent because of temporary or permanent mental or physical incapacity. Furthermore, because many rapes are facilitated by drugs or alcohol, the new definition recognizes that a victim can be incapacitated and thus unable to consent because of ingestion of drugs or alcohol. Similarly, a victim may be legally incapable of consent because of age. The ability of the victim to give consent must be determined in accordance with individual state statutes. Physical resistance is not required on the part of the victim to demonstrate lack of consent. The UCR is the national “report card” on serious crime; what gets reported through the UCR is how we, collectively, view crime in this country. Police departments submit data on reported crimes and arrests to the UCR SRS. Even though most states have more expansive definitions of rape in their criminal codes, they had to report the smaller number of crimes falling under the more narrow UCR SRS definition.

I do not know about over there .. but it is extremely difficult to get a rape conviction in Australia but I think it deserves consideration no matter what the country ..



A recent high profile rape case has been tossed out of court to protect the mental health of the alleged victim .. ( the alleged rape happened in parliament house in the Capital .. )

There are different definitions per state and territories .. sexual assault, rape, sexual misconduct et al .. its a list .. I guess its the same there? This could make a difference to the numbers you speak of ...

However.. this say differently to your set of numbers .. What year you got there? This is 2021 I believe...




I havent looked back over previous discussion on this .. but if I recall correctly.. the convo started about folk in jail in the usa for gun crime (murder)? v australia .. somehow it turned to rape stats ... nvm..

Now.. have you heard of Martyn Bryant and the Port Arthur massacre? He was convicted of going cray shooting all and sundry at Port Arthur in Tasmania. 35 ppl including a number of children.
There is a belief that floats a fair bit, that the whole horror show was a set up to disarm Aussie citizens and thus bring about the gun amnesty - when we handed in all our guns .. well not me .. lol but those that had them in their homes .. We were ok to keep ours on the boat ofc.
We are unarmed =- apparently - to prevent mass shootings.

the point of bringing rape into the gun discussion was to bring into focus comparable crimes in australia.... your guns are outlawed so not really a way to make a comparison of criminality
i also mentioned several other crimes that you led tied or trailed close behind us.... several times it was said the usa was the leading nation in gun deaths per capita which is also false

I actually tried to seperate out guns from the argument. If its gun deaths that are the issue then the majority are self-inflicted : suicides, mishaps and Darwin Award levels of mishandling fire-arms.

The figure was not that five times more US citizens are murdered by guns than in Australia. It was that five times more people are murdered. Period. Are Australians five times better at protecting themselves? Or are Americans five times worse?
