Mel looks around before nodding, as she chants a few spells, and banishes the spirit away. She looks to Argo

Okay, so now that is taken care of, shall we utter the chant?

[Argo]

"Ahh yes.. that feels better - but next time could ye be a little less free with the salt!!" I mean hells bells, look at this place- you really looked like youd lost your marbles there for one moment!! She chuckles..None the less good job once again .. Argo laughs nervously and excitedly at the same time.. She nods towards Meliva and says, ' ill take my cues from you "

There is quite some anticipation in the air you could almost hear the cracking of the energy - Together they begin the chant .. Quietly at first and then slowly but surely building in intensity ..

Argo's fingers find their way to the chain around her neck .. She grabs the key which flies from her hand and into lock of the chest! The lid springs open and the cabin is filled with golden light so bright it is making their eyes water as they squint against it ..

Argo manages a ... " whoa " as she blindly reaches out to grab the chest and misses ..

Mel squints her eyes a bit as she gently grabs the egg and hands it to Argo.

There you go. Be careful with it. It's really powerful magic.

Jack looks to Argo

Well, now that this business is over I must thank you, Argo. I thought I’d just be getting a great deal of money, but this little adventure has given me something much better than a whole lot of money.

Jack looks at meliva

Argo holds the egg cupped iin her hands.. It vibrates softly and gives off a little warmth ..

She looks to Jack as he speaks .. and her eyes follow him as he leaves the cabin.
She looks back to Mel and her attention is drawn to something behind Mel. Argo's eyes widen as her face does this

Behind Mel, Jack has appeared from nowhere. And then there was another one. And now yet another .. Argo just stares .. "OMG..Ive got to think of something else!"
She puts the egg quickly back into the chest and locks it just as quickly with the little gold key which she refixes to the chain around her neck.

She looks back to Mel and the 3 Jacks standing behind her .. They seem flimsy and only partly manifest .. after a few moments they begin to fade ..
She raises her eyebrows, bites down on her lip and letting out a long controlled breath she half laughs.. "Uh-oh" ...

Mel looks to the Jack's and laughs

Oh that's funny. THey'll disappear soon enough I think. Just focus on what you want to create more of and be careful with it. Bigger things and more complex things take more time to duplicate. Though even then it duplicates things pretty fast.

[Argo]

Argo laughs too .. 'i'm going to have to learn how to drive this thing - Might make for some intereting times - lucky I have you to turn to seeing both our voices are required to activate it .. and we still have to work out how to use it effectively .. unless you already know? And ofc it is obviously yours to use as you wish also - I wont be using it higgledee-piggledee - only for exceptional circumstance - Come to the pub with me ?.. and Ill buy you a celebratory dinner and whatever your drinking pleasure before I fall asleep. All this has tuckered me right out .. "

She picks up the parchment and notes at the bottom in tiny letters ; " single use only" .. 'What? It can only be used one time per beholder? Bah!"

Mel laughs as they go to the pub. She sits down with Brian and Carl and orders some wine.

Let's celebrate for now. We scored big and accomplished much. Oh Argo by the way these are some new friends of mine, Brian and Carl. Helped them take out those Heralds of Hell.

[Argo]

Argo reaches across the table and warmly shakes both their hands , 'Aye, good to meet ye - So what are you? Demon hunters or something? Id rather stick hat pins in my eyes than chase demons .. " She laughs heartily .. 'I dont know how you do it ..."she shudders.. Nudges Mel , 'doesn't seem to bother the old seahag much tho .. How or Why on earth does someone choose to become a demon hunter?? "

She pours herself a rum from the large jug on the table and settles in to listen .. she takes a sip and pulls a face spitting out the contents sprayin all three of them .." Oh apologies - WTF is that? Wine?? "

She excuses herself momentarily and returns from the bar with a jug of rum that she places on the table in front of her.

" SO tell me .. tell me about this demon hunting and such - I mean - how does one even know a demon when they sees it?"

The 2 men laugh as Brian speaks

Eh, more like errand boys these days. We work for a witch by the name of Emily. She tells us to go do something we do it. Usually involves killing something or someone. They always deserve it. Using magic that they shouldn't be using, or doing things they shouldn't. It's hard work, but Emily treats us well and the pay is good.

Brian then thinks for a moment before replying

Honestly, it can range from easy to impossible to spot a demon. Depends on what kind you're dealing with and what kind of tools you got. You might think the worst are the ones who are monstrous giants, with great horns and red skin. No sir, those are troublesome sure, but if you ask me, the worst ones are the ones that walk around looking like you or me. They don't try to kill you outright; they instead poison your mind and soul with words. Or just kill you when your guard is down if that fails.

Brian takes a drink of whiskey as he speaks

Many witches partner with demons. Good way to gain power. Hell our boss Emily has a granny that's a full-on demon, real nasty one too by the name of Agrat Bat Mahlat. Hard to tell a demon offspring from a normal human, aside from the fact they don't have a heartbeat. Real pale too. Hard to kill.

Mel nods

I had a few friends who dealt with demons myself. My sister being one of them. I never saw the appeal of it personally.
