Feniks, Police have warned that they will approach things 'differently' today if anyone goes in to the city to protest the vax mandate for construction workers.
Yesterday were horses, riot squad, rubber bullets and capcicum spray at the ready before protesters even arrived - Protestors were just walking their way to the steps of parliament.. not chanting,nothing... what can the police do differently today? (Visions of Tiannamen Square come to mind)

300k workers and their families are affected by this.

A 2 week shut down to the entire industry to ensure they get vaxed is unacceptable imo. Figures say 13% of all covid contagion comes from construction sites... Sefka says there was only one construction site where infection was found... and dealt with in the manner expected.

John Sefka, head of CEFMU, seems to be sitting on the fence claiming personal and union support for jab and workers who don't want it but not supporting the mandate.. According to the media, union members consider him a sell out .. and a lot of the reason for the violence of the protests.

He also claims those throwing bottles etc are not construction workers - they are professional protestors, anti vaxxers and others who just like to play ...

Other reports say 2nd hand shops had a wee boom on fluoros (orange and yellow work jackets- so could substantiate the claim but could also be media bs) ..

This is a different Australia ... 2000 gathered yesterday .. outnumbering the police and as a group split up and meandered in all directions completely confounding the police and upsetting their intentions of control. :D Then they just kept walking out of the city and out onto the surrounding roads disrupting traffic and blocking the freeways.

The police contingent also comprises young security who just finished training last week .. :o: I saw one interviewed on tv - he said they were trained over the last month to support the police - this was a young bloke who seriously looked about 15 but Im guessing he had to be at least 18.

So.. Australia is mad at Australia and so is France and so is China - China has said we will be sorry for supporting the USA - Id be spending more time looking into that threat really than forcing ppl to have vaccinations... :pc

Tighten your seat belts Australia .. :(

Didn't Australia watch the Oscars? Masks weren't needed.

Why is everyone up in arms about San Francisco's mayor partying maskless at a packed club? It was a monumental occasion; Tony, Toni, and Tone, some of the most incredible artists of the Bay area, were performing in public.. It's really unfortunate that this is getting lost here.
PM me any complaints (10M gold coin wire fee is mandatory).

Day 3

Protestors wandered from the city up the Shrine of Rememberance. The crowd grew to a few thousand. The police held 2 lines. Batons and all the riot gear at the ready. One line was closer to the protestors and another outer ring. Over time they would advance toward the protestors who werent doing a great deal..mostly chanting - ( 210 arrested for throwing stuff etc ) With each advancement of the police line, some protestors would leave.. so by dusk they were left with the troublemakers.. (I havent seen a great deal of vision of dusk - just some slight scuffles and a few more arrests)
First off in the day, police did use rubber bullets, spray and batons to show meant biznz.

Police initially ordered the media helicopters to go away then it was changed to not display any vision until over an hour after it is taken so as to not show the protestors what the police were up to and where they were. This is now standard. It was realised another incursion of freedom should the media be unable to attend or film - ( I was chatting with someone in the US yesterday, who, kindly, was feeding me current links to live fb footage - I said to him at the time it wasn't showing here on the live feed on tv and when I tried to open the links he sent there was a message saying I did not have permission to view 'YET' ... } - that's all a bit China/North Korea for me!! :o:

The shrine is regarded as sacred so there is a lot of tears about that today .. how disrespectful it was for the mob to even go there for this purpose, let alone settle in for the day and practice civil disobedience etc

The construction workers say they will protest every day until the mandate is removed. All protagonists in this debacle claim the ppl attending are not all construction workers..that many are activists for anything... but the media we do see, seems to talk to only construction workers lol :shrug

On top of all that Monssieur Macron is 'hurt' as Scomo didnt even discuss the discontinuance of the naval sub contract - French Defence minister claims very little of the 90B contract actually went to France - they got only 10M and the USA got the rest for armoury and tech installations -

China wants Taiwan like it wants HongKong - and has made numerous threats against Australia of late,- supporting Taiwans independence and being close ally to the USA, setting trade sanctions also and boasting about long range missiles that can reach across the seas with ease ..

What a mess lol - Nostradamus may be right in some of his quatrains :D :D

yeah what I don't get about those French submarines is why not have a mix of normal diesel submarines and nuclear submarines instead of just straight up canceling it like they could have reduced the number to say 6 or something
