As I said earlier, this is a political nightmare for the Aussie gov.

The only real way to stop the spread is to avoid contact with potential carriers.

So, how do you do that ?
If you do nothing, the medical system collapses with thousands of possible deaths from all ailments, not just covid.
The general pop will hang you for that happening so you lose.

You lock everyone down to avoid the overload so they hang you for that.

Tis better to be hung for doing the right thing than to be hung doing the wrong thing.
