I did get the Vaccine, but doot, I believe your confusing a "cure" with a "vaccine". Dman and Feniks are right. As an example, the flu vaccine didnt eradicate the flu, it just makes you less likely to have bad symptoms if you get it because your immune system is ready for it (if they guess the right strain that year). The flu shot does not stop the catching or transfer of the flu between people.

Neither does the covid vaccine. I think politics had lead to some misunderstandings by people as leaders wanted to relax their imposed lockdowns before the masses relaxed them for them.

What I intended to say, it won't 100% guarantee that you don't catch it, but it does prevent the infection from getting too bad to the point where it has a high chance of spreading or damaged your body enough to kill you.

Won't say anything concerning the Australia problem since it seems to be more of a supply problem.

if i visit the elderly i may wear a mask to catch any droplet i possibly can and I refrain from hugs or handshakes and that's out of respect knowing their immune system due to age and the many medical issues many already have are not something I want to add to.
but that's out of respect and its honestly not ultimately going to protect them if I did have it
its more to make me feel better than them lol

let me walk into your business where everything has been touched during shipping stocking and moving by hands that have rubbed runny noses blocked coughs picked noses and a whole plethora of unsanitary habits and hear you say I need a mask and ill laugh walk out and go get my snot and cough covered cold drink elsewhere :o: :D :D :D

Out of topic question: What's so bad about wearing masks anyway? I can understand if it gets too hot but aside from that why don't people like them?

It is not a supply problem. It is a direct result of government action taken in response to a 0.133% infection rate.

The reaction of coarse Feniks! It shouldnt matter if 3 billion catch it, if no one dies from it then its no worse than coronavirus 229E, NL63, OC43, and HKU1 which cause 20% of the common colds every year.

I loved seeing a chart on an article from a highly "respected" news media outlet, lets call it Blee En En, where they showed cases per 100k on one line and deaths per 10 mil on another line to show the correlation lmao! It looked really bad for us all, till you read the fine print :D

Edit: I have no problem wearing masks, my wife is preggo and it makes her feel better so no biggie, i think the issue is weather it should be mandated or by choice

I seem to have misunderstood the use of the word "shelves"

But now that I look at it it does feel like an overreaction, at least compared to where I'm living.
(I have 0 idea how to unquote so no quotes here)

Edit: Flu death each day is about 1780(650000/365), Covid death each day has been about 7434(rounded up from .7)(4490000/604)
Please correct me if my math is wrong.

I could care less about the vax anti vax debate. It should be a choice as dman has stated.

I could care less about masks. They are ineffective in the best case scenario. It should be a choice as stated earlier.

What I do care about is the lies that come out of governments and politicians that actually affect more people's lives. Mandates not based on science are designed to control, not fix anything. Locking down entire swaths of a country or community for something that can not be controlled. If it could be controlled then Israel would not be having the spike they are having.

Telling healthy people they can not work because of something they can not control is wrong. Taking away their ability to provide for their family is wrong.

Australia 993 deaths in almost 2 years out of a population of 25,360,000 0.0000368 mortality rate

49,931 total case in 2 years .001961 infection rate

And for those that have the virus ...... you have a 98.02% chance of surviving.

For this governments are arresting people who go outside to take a walk, for this police are pepper-spraying people for voicing their opinion, for this governments are shutting down whole communities for weeks on end until they reach some arbitrary number a politician pulled out of thin air.

THAT is where the problem lies.

first off because they are useless

secondly I don't like being told what to do let alone when its an ineffective measure

when the science says 0-19 yr olds are least affected nationally and you start forcing my kids to wear them at school because some purple haired liberal is pushing political bs and it affects my kids.... nope

the second you start using a force by mandates to enforce something put in motion by politics and not science imma do just the opposite and say fook your mandates and your mask
trump is for the vaccine as well but he says its up to the person to get it.... that's how it should be
this whole line of bs the world should be locked down is for control and cash not science
it doesn't help that congress is showered by big pharma cash and has been for years republicans and dems alike
if my doctor doesn't say it fook it cause I'm sure not believing a fauci pos pushing an agenda he profits from

people are allowed to do unhealthy chit every day without mandates its a freedom of choice

If you don't like being told what to do then what about taxes
/s /s /s /s /s /s (Not a serious comment)

Also if masks are useless how do you explain other countries having less cases while having mask mandates?

Is it true that in the USA, a bulletproof vest is more apt to save your life than a N95 mask ?
