You mean I don't handle issues in the manner that you want.

You have a clear issue with dman. I take your complaints with a grain of salt. Just like I take dman's complaints about you with a grain of salt.

More like he can’t keep up with the squabbles because he is only one man. And he’s dealing with most likely the same set of people complaining the same set issues. Truth is banning certain people isn’t always a viable solution if you think about it. The issue hasn’t been resolved just prolonged and the banned person just gets madder and madder anyway.

I also want to address the "volunteer" aspect of this...

For 10 years I was an event organizer for West Texas Food Bank which was a volunteer position. My wifes family runs one of the largest charitable organizations in Sydney and it is comprised entirely of volunteers.

Being a volunteer does not relieve you of the responsibility. In fact, most times volunteers are held to a higher standard than most because theonly way things survive is if volunteers do what they volunteer to do. If they don't, you either fail completely or replace them.

If you volunteer for something and can not fulfil the duties then become better organized and delegate or step down. No, you can not force a volunteer to do anything but you can replace them with someone who will. If you have no volunteers then you need to do it yourself.

If you can't do it yourself, and volunteers can't do it then you need to pay someone to do it.

Those are the only options.

How this applies here.....

Mel heads up the Moderators team and has volunteers to help. If they can not, or refuse to help solve the issues, then they need to be replaced. If no one else volunteers, then Mel needs to fulfil those duties. If she can not then it is CJ that needs to do it.

I have been told several times that mods can't do anything unless a violation is reported. That is horse****. You are forum mods, your responsibility is to moderate discussions. That means you need to read them. and take action when rules violations happen. That is what you volunteered to do. If you are unwilling or can not fulfil that responsibility, then relinquish the position.

I play several different games and this is the only one that holds that standard. No action was taken unless reported violation. God knows it would not be hard to read the forums as they are now.

I think what you were told may have been misrepresented. Mods are not always thoroughly reading ever post. As such issues can be missed, thus the need to report issues. It isn't that they won't do anything unless a violation is reported, it is that they don't always see the issue. As well interpretation comes into play.

I can read a statement that from my interpretation can be on topic, but someone else may interpret it as off-topic.

I don't expect everyone to agree with me. I disagree with everyone about something. I try to apply the rules in a manner that is objective and fair to all those involved. I'm not perfect, but you have people out there that do nothing but complain and when the ball is thrown in their court they come up with an excuse to not get involved.

along the same line of thought you don't see me attacking everyone I disagree with
feniks has had some pretty defined thoughts on my behaviors in the past and maybe in the present
he doesn't get no static or disrespect because if he says I shouldn't do something its because he himself wont do it
that's respectable
but all you double standards folks wanting one sided enforcement make me laugh
dez has banned me told me why without a flinch
but if he bans one of you ... you will cry favoritism and anything else but the truth

Maybe they stopped complaining via reports because of Option #4.

Maybe they think Option #3 gives grounds for thinking any complaint is considered on the basis of who is complaining about who and not what is being complained about.

Maybe they think Option #1 will keep occurring because Options #3 and #4 have not been considered and resolved.

Maybe folk end up at Option #10 because, meh, it really aint worth the hassle.

It may well be a lot less simple an explanation than that people just can't be bothered.

You didn't beg for me to ban you, unless you mean constantly admin baiting and trying to tell the admins how to do their jobs as begging for me to ban you. If that is what you mean by begging, then yes, I banned you and then banned dman for actions that were already forwarded to ownership to address but as a means to get you to shut up.

i think I written him 3 times in a month
I don't need dez to handle my issues and he's quite stingy with tissues
so I just laugh and make you cry more

poor dez having to communicate with you on the daily for hours


love all the maybes, maybe just maybe if you followed tos yourself then maybe you wouldn't have to say maybe so much but maybe its only the people you say it may be but maybe I am right saying you are maybe a part of the problem with maybe me and maybe a few others ... nah maybe is easier than maybe listening to the truth
