EDITORIAL..Ahoy there, Avonmora Wenches and Scallies!!

What a month, hey?

After a really slow start to March things got hectic as the month drew to a close and April arrived bringing much excitement, action, conflict and fun.
PG offered it all up for us this month. Tears were shed, nasty words said, friendships strained and some irreparably broken and loyalties were exposed and tested. Some relationships improved and strengthened. And some folk got to see good teamwork in action for the first time.

To be honest I am no fighter with words..because I am not a fighter in a vocal sense, I just go with the first thing that comes to mind...usually to my own detriment...My voodoo casts - actually serve me way better than my words could ever do!! Who knew? I think Ill stick with that in future!!
It's a game and sometimes its hard not to get personal..But hopefully we move on to better days for all and continue to make the game fun for ourselves and others.

We are all really just a big fam here, right?

Aye, yes families fight too .. but when push comes to shove its kinda good to know we are usually all here for one another regardless.

Speaking of fam, the mighty and long serving nation of Spain is off the map - there was little resistance. This saw rise to the historical pirate nation of Madagascar dusting off and unfurling the country's flag.

There was great excitement as the rest of Avonmora watched those Spaniards transporting themselves right on over there in droves...during which time, Albania was raising the flag and claiming the Spanish Treasury (6.5Billion - if you dont mind!). Nice one.

Chatter has it complacency played a role in this loss. We reached out to Spain for comment but noone was interested or available it seems. Heck, MIAB even tried having folk who are actually friends with the Spaniards to go and try to get a sharing but nope.. no comment there either.

MIAB is reliably and vociferously informed this is indeed a Treasury Raid record. Congrats to all those involved.

Commizzies to those that lost this battle - but remember as long as PG exists, the war is never won!

MIAB offers congrats along with long life, success, health and propsperity to all our nations - new and old alike.

Channel Islands got themselves more space on the map ... Good to see expansion here adding some wood to the tools and an increase in the need for buckets...

Meanwhile Bermuda packed up the entire nation and left Kanoni to Channel. Just deserted the land for prettier shores.
Ah Bermoodians!

MIAB understands there were plans for an adult entertainment district in Chalkos including the opening of a glittering casino and some classy bordellos.

However, since the takeover, there has been little word on this venture so nought to report. (Rumour has it the Gov is keeping it all for himself anyway).

Of course this all comes at some cost to the USA and Spain but its always good to see new flags brought about by some frenzied game activity. And the USA is still on the charts, no?

Im excited to say our 'Meet the Crew' article this month is a little different to our past editions.

This issue the legendary Sir Henry Morgan and I meet up at the Tavern in Baramas where he agreed to talk with me about his arrival in Avonmora and Pirates Glory. Generous to a fault he even offered a fine repast and a good rum sampling as well. We got stonkered. It was a memorable afternoon.

Normally when I ask the question, "How did you stumble into PG?", the response is often "my brother was playing..or I found it on ...". but not Sir Henry Morgan. No, Siree..

He generously gave us his time and shiver me timbers if he didnt fully regale us with the exciting and detailed adventures of his journey that suddenly found himself here!

It's a jolly decent read. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

We have given the article its own space at the last pages for to break this story up into episodes would lose its meaning. It is, after all, a great story of Sir Henrys' arrival here. (SHM has offered to continue writing for MIAB and indeed, we could not be more delighted).

We reported last month El Draque was to write the Portside Perusal for April edition but he has been called to a land far far to the west for far far greater things. We wish him well. He hopes to make it for May! So do we!

The content pool here at MIAB grows pretty much daily. And there is no shortage of Meet the Crew Volunteers. We cant thank you all enough for your interest and support for both MIAB and PG.

We look forward to hearing your characters backstory.

Coming up soon - Black Sparrow and the life of SilverShadow... and how they came to be!

Thanks to all our contributors and those who make MIAB possible.
