Veera quietly goes over to snack table and begins eating, while chatting with some other folks. Occasionally checking a pocket watch seeming a bit bored.

A tall, pale man with dark brown hair, wearing a red vest, black bowtie, white shirt, and black pants and shoes watched the proceedings from a chair on a raised dais at one end of the ballroom. In his hand he held a wine glass, filled to the brim with blood, and garnished with an eyeball on a toothpick.

Veera looks to the man, before turning back to the young woman she's talking to.

So Missi, what have you been up to? Been a bit since we last talked.

Missi laughs and shrugs

Oh just the usual you know. Though from what I hear your family has been quite busy lately.

Veera nods

Yes, well, trouble seems to find us sooner or later, or we find trouble. Just the usual for us I suppose.

The man returned her gaze, then watched as she spoke to Missi before standing, joining them by the table. He took a rather large rack of ribs from the table, breaking off a rib and sucking the meat off.

Veera simply nods to the man and smiles

Lovely party as usual. Just a little heads up, some folks seem to be looking into things. So do be careful. That aside, how long is this party planned to go on for? I'd rather not keep my sister waiting for too long. She can be quite the worry wort.

He smiled grimly. When he spoke, his voice was low and gravelly.

I was already informed. Gaster will be dealt with. In fact, Melissa, my dear, if you'd be so kind? I'd send the guards, but I'm told he is a man of peculiar talents.

As for how long the party is, you're free to leave any time.

Melissa nods and begins walking over to Gaster, thinking how best to get rid of him. Veera meanwhile checks her pocket watch, and decides to go check on Emily, quickly excusing herself as she leaves silently mumbling to herself

She's probably nearby in that bar with Burt I'm guessing. Oh well. Would rather not be here if things go south anyway. I'll swing by back again later I suppose.

Melissa nods to Gaster as she nears him smiling

So, for what reason did you decide to come to this party?

He laughed, smiling sadly.

Melissa Hawthorne... Tell me, why do you and your kin eat children? It's not the cannibalism that I find wrong. It's the fact that they're children.

Melissa shrugs

Same reason some people prefer eating Veal. Children do have a different taste, that some prefer, my husband being one of them. We do cook some adults, more so for other guests honestly. So long as you don't cause any trouble here, you can stay, but if you plan to do something, we will have to get rid of you in some way or form.

You sure it doesn't have anything to do with a certain deer horned demon?

His faceted eye sparkled nigh-imperceptibly for a moment, and the wind picked up, howling and rattling the window panes, bringing with it the stench of rot and decay, as the kitchen doors rattled, and skeletal hands screeched down the glass, sizzling rain making divots in the glass, cracks spider webbing their way up the windows as the skeletal warriors continued their assault.
