Your magic pales in comparison to that of the Dire Magnus. I am not trying to be rude, but if Dreadbolt wasn't bluffing, We are in for a fight. It was easy against me because much of his power was tied up in keeping my body together, and I was fighting his control.

Emily just laughs

Magic is powerful, but it isn't the be all and end all. Besides, I don't think he's inhabiting Thomas body. So his support will be limited-especially on this plane. Plus, if we hit Thomas and shut him down before he can act, then magic won't save him. He asked me for a steel body. I gave it to him. Though, it has no insulation protection. Meaning, you hit that steel body with a large enough electric charge, he'll shut down for a moment or two. Keep zapping him hard enough and you can keep him down for a while. We do that, take out his soul, we win. Though we should have plan B's C's and D's as usual in case Plan A fails.

Just be careful. The Magnus has a reputation for subverting expectations. Any idea which port is next?

He gets a faraway look in his eye, before snapping back to the conversation.

A tall, pale ma with short black hair and odd clothing seeks entry. He has no weapons.

Emily shrugs and snaps a finger

Eh, I'll let him in then. If he acts up when he get's in, we can just boot him out. As for where he plans to go next, well at the moment he's digging up the first book he needs in Aiora-Veera and some other agents we got can go and try to slow him down. We don't know if he plans to stay there until he get's said book, or if he will just leave a force to dig it up while he moves on.

Hopefully he does the dumb thing and splits his forces. Then we can quickly launch an attack on Aiora once he leaves and claim the book ourselves. If he stays until he get's it, well that gives us time to sabotage him, and prepare for the next fight. Either way, we can take advantage of what he does.

Magan enters, carrying an armload of papers and old books.

Pardon the intrusion, but I may be your bestally in terms of knowledge. I know of these Books, and the ports they are in.

Emily just nods

Sounds good. Saves us the time and trouble of looking through old records in our archives. If we know where he has to go next, we can set up traps there. Or hide what he's looking for where he can't find it.

What we should do is gather our strength. The most powerful book is in St. Martins, and I say we gather all our allies, and make a stand there, with every able bodied man and woman in avonmora, and every warship we can find, along with whatever allies we each have. We fortify it to the teeth. The other Book is in Akrotiri.

Emily thinks

I mean, he needs all 3 books to succeed. So why not just take the book in Akrotiri, give it to Veera and have her put it where he can never find it? I do think that if she really wanted to, she could send something like that to the moon with a teleport spell. Or just hold on to it, and just, keep moving. She can just, teleport before he can ever catch her.

Even if something about the books stops teleportation, we should still fight him in Akrotiri. With the intent to either figure out a way to prevent him from healing and rebuilding lost forces, or to deal permanent damage that he can't fix. Otherwise, it doesn't matter if we gather everyone in the world-he can just keep shrugging off any losses he takes and win by attrition. So our top priority right now, is either removing that ability, or finding a solution against it. Veera is trying to snag another Fiend fire bomb, but I'd rather not rely on those alone.

I have a plan for that. In the desert surrounding Tzogos, there are legends of a cache of an extremely volatile mineral known as orantium. Crack the crystal sphere a nugget of it is in, and you get an explosion comparable to a lineship's powder magazine blowing up. There are at least 100 spheres in the cache. If we can locate it while he's busy in Aiora, we can booby trap the Book in Akrotiri, and blow up most of his army.

As for Umbra, leave that to me.

Sounds good to me I suppose. Veera can handle moving the items when we find them. Should probably send a few folks to try to keep an eye on his progress in Aiora and slow him down.
