You misunderstand by what I mean when I say the covid vaccines were made in a rush. I mean, that the research, study and testing to figure out how to make a vaccine in the first place, was done in a very fast manner, not that the actual making of the vaccines to be used were done in a rush-though they were also.

Covid started in like late 2019 I think, and really got bad in 2020, with the vaccine being finished shortly after the 2020 election, so that's less then one year. Course, we used a lot of existing labs and other stuff to change their priority on the vaccine, which is largely why we finished it so fast.

Every year they research and test the seasonal flu vaccine : its a process they have well in hand. The difference is each year they have to judge which flu variants are likely to be prevalent and then make a vaccine to suit. Its about five or six strains go into the mix. It gets done in less than six months from design to point of use. Every year.

Making the covid-19 vaccine was not that much different in practical terms : once the 'code' was cracked it becomes a logistical exercise in manufacturing and distributing the vaccine.

Looking at the known side effects for the 'Oxford' vaccine, they are pretty much identical to the annual flu jab, which makes sense because they are not that disimilar.

I think the whole "is it safe' nonsense is the usual bs served up by the tin foil brigade. Its not a radical new treatment, its just the same old technology and methodology thats been used for years applied to a new strain of flu.... much like happens every year with no particular fanfare before.

There is a fair bit of difference between researching and testing something that you know versus something new. Though, we did luck out that Covid was similar to another disease we've dealt with, so that helped us crack it.

I'm not saying that we should be scared of the covid vaccine or that it is dangerous-It's probably safe seeing how Biden got one along with his VP. I am just saying that I can understand why some people are afraid of it. It's a new vaccine for a disease that just popped up a little over a year ago. Then you add in some folks fear mongering, along with anti vaccers and conspiracy theorists, and it makes more rational folks worried. Then there was that nurse incident, who got one and fainted, and you get the fear mongers and other's jump at that to try to say the vaccine is bad.

Ultimately, there is a risk in vaccines, some folks may be allergic to it, some folks might have nasty side effects or other issues. Still most vaccines and what side effects or downsides they may have are preferable to getting the full blown illness.

Another factor too is that governments poured so much money into producing a working vaccine compared to most other diseases and to revitalize their economies.

well i noticed just as suspected the death rate dramaticly drops right after....? you guessed it the inauguration. lmao

probably it's due to so many people in your country getting it as well since you would have a greater amount of herd immunity due to so many people getting it. Also now you guys are at half a million dead. Are you still thinking it's not bad? Also the amout of cases per day had dropped a bit in your country but it's still quite high.

There is also news fatigue : what is headlines on day #1 stops being so newsworthy on day #200. How many times can they recycle the same headline? Nope, they move on to fresher 'news'.

I do not see many headlines about the five deaths at the Capitol either though the media was wall-to-wall on it for that first week.

Just cos stuff ain't on the front page don't mean it ain't happening same as last week when it was.

I got vaccinated and suffered the usual side-effects to be found in my annual flu jab. In other words, uncomfortable but not as bad as having a tooth filled. Others may react worse, but then some folk drop dead from a bee sting and some don't even get a swelling from one. Go figure, ain't Darwinism wonderful!

Same folk who own most stuff, one presumes. The same folk who tend to have always owned stuff. Sure, a few come along and make a big splash and join the 1%ers but when you look closely at even them, they were never that far from those financial ponds to start with.

i take what they have said in the past to heart i think they plan on killing a lot of us with vaccines, therefor i don't trust the vaccines.
