not an aussie or an aussie history buff so had to go look lol but it proves the fact a story is needed as they were fighting oppression and so it made them the underdog and people did not hate them as bad although those that turned up for their executions i dont think were fans lol

No argument here..That's what I meant by 'romanticized"..the myths, the legends, the folklore all juicily intertwined with historically proven facts make for unlikely heroes..and yet, here we are..both Ned and Ben along with Captain Moonlight and numerous others fit the bill...and we love 'em

Ned is also the idol of bikers here..the guild-master if you like..They wear beards like his, and knowing a few of them and having been to their parties, (many waaay too wild for even me), Ned is always there, either in paintings, pics, clothing, statues or plaques..Hero status..

That's down right laughable. That's why in countries like Canada, you can go to jail for using the wrong pronoun. That isn't asking for the same respect. That's forcing people to adhere to their way of thinking.

Where TF do people come up with this stuff ? Where it comes from does not really matter however I feel for the suckers that believe it to be true.

Fact check for both you and Danik. No where did I say that you would go to jail for using it once or stipulate the conditions that meet it. For example, refusing to address a biological man as a "she" even after being told which pronoun they prefer to be called can be considered a hate crime and you can go to jail for it. That's an example provided by one of the many news orgs that countered the original story. So yes, you can go to jail for not using the correct pronoun in Canada, there just are additional factors that are considered. Those factors don't negate the cause.

So the only sucker is those that read only what they want and hear only what they want.
