That girl from Nantucket, oh how she did brag,
She hit a PK trader and thought it was all in the bag.
Then she was quietly smiling and sat counting plundered gold,
Her crew let out a scream as the boat did explode.
In Tzgos they ran and begged to flee, but those little boats would not be rid of me.
Why I'm one of the PK, there are many of us in the sea.
For each hit you give our traders, we shall give you three.

There once was a pirate named Cap,
Who made Rolando look like a sap.
He sprung in for lots of gold,
Quickly hiding it in his hold,
Gave Ol' Rol some fame and took a nap.

Hah, now we are arguing in prose. This, my friends, is the power of totally unexpected, unrelated posts.

Actually, the opposite of poetry is prose. You know we are a pirate guild over at ZomB, not a Mensa society:)

"Prosaic" is an insult in literary circles. I'm sure that's what he means.

I've heard smarter things from a schizophrenic with Tourette's.

Royal Declaration of War

Postby Big Brother » Wed Nov 06, 2013 11:36 pm

To the people of Avonmora through the words of King DoomIris the first of Wake Island:

From this day, unto a foretold specified day, of the first year of our lord (57th day), the royal King DoomIris the first of Wake Island, does hereby declare a war of the word and wit between himself and the King of Spain, one infamous Rolando_De_Sandoval. He does call upon the people of this here earth (excluding those of the royal retinue of the participating kings) to judge us, as seen by the eyes of the world, the winner or loser of five consecutive literary battles, too occur on the following days of the 2nd moon in the first year of our lord:

Day 58
Day 60
Day 62
Day 64
Day 66

The following rules shall be enacted as terms of war:
Neither King may speak unto the world until the other has replied (Starting (on behalf of the courtesy of King DoomIris the first of Wake Island) with the King of Spain, Rolando_De_Sandoval).
The words to be spoken will retain relevance to one of five prompts (no more than 1 sentence long)decided by the previous winner (One for each day of battle, to be started by his royal highness King DoomIris the first of Wake Island).
The winner will be decided upon points that are given (in part), from a vote (after the last battle) from the Avonmorian people (7 points), as well as guidelines decided before the first battle begins (stated below):
+1 point shall be given to the warrior who sticks to the prompt(s), in each of his posts.
-1 point shall be given to the warrior who does not stick to the prompt, in each his posts.
+1 point shall be given to the warrior who does state accurate, easily found facts (in each post).
-1 point shall be given to the warrior who does not state accurate, easily found facts (in each post).
-1 point shall be given for an insult (as decided by Captain Jack or other Mod/Admin) for each post.

The total for each battle shall be posted as the last post for that day's battle.

The winner shall have the most (or the least negative) points at the end of each battle.

The final winner will be decided by the number of battles won.

The final winner shall be given a compensation of 10 million gold coins per week for a period of 10 weeks by the losing warrior at the end of this war. This is to be paid through the use of commandeer cards.

Redbone your declaration is duly noted. Your would be allies reputation speak for themselves. Thus the Nation of Spain does not require such long and grandiose declarations, those who ambushed us congratulations you have won a battle, but begun a war. Wars begin when you desire, but they do not end when you wish. I will have poetry/comedy contest later Doom, I have war to deal with. If you want call yourself the winner, whatever makes you happy. :D

Also King Redbone I accept your stipulation of no Levi's, so long as they are not used on me, I will not use them.

I believe that rolando had refused the battle of wits on the basis that you are unarmed, Iris...
