Goldsmith DetailsDescriptionGoldsmith Level defines the size of the building. The greater the size, the more workers can be hired. The workers melt gold coins into gold bars.
The workers consume food. Food consumption is relative to operating time only (the player will get to choose whether to operate it)(Version 1.0 - Keep it Simple).
FormulasWorkers allowed = Goldsmith Level * 100 (A lvl 20 Goldsmith can have up to 2000 workers)
Food consumption = 2 per worker per hour. (100 workers will eat 200 crates of food in 1 hour - 2000 workers will eat 4000 crates of food in 1 hour).
Production Rate = Goldsmith Level*10 + Workers/10 per hour
A minimum of 100 Workers is needed for the Goldsmith to operate.
So, there is actually a fee in the form of food that however cannot increase the price per gold bar more than about 10% (rough estimation as market prices, goldsmith level etc etc play a role here) in return for up to double production.
There is also the cost of gold coins to melt.
Gold Coins required per gold bar = 3000 - Goldsmith Level * 75
Market DetailsDescription-Market at Version 1.0 will play the role of the middle man only. This is required till we see what happens. It will let players to entirely decide prices.
-There will be a 3% market fee for every transaction that will always be paid by the player in favor of the market. The market will pay 1% of it at the daily update to the nation controlling the port (1% of all earnings).
-No crates will be lost at all in vain. Players will manage the quantities at each port.
-Players will not be able to sell/buy gold bars at their Hideout Port in order to ensure that the Fleets continue to be the most important part of the game.
-Values presented here, are for version 1.0 and are subject to change based on your feedback.
FormulasMarket Price = -0.04 * Market Stock + 3000
Final Price for the player has an extra 5% fee depending the action he chooses.
If he buys from the market, then:
Final Price = Market Price + Market Price * 0.05
If he sells, then:
Final Price = Market Price - Market Price * 0.05
Note that the -0.04 variable can easy be tweaked to meet the supply and demand rules for a more interesting market. At some point it will become an algorith that will take in mind players active, hideouts built and goldsmith's overall production capability.
ExamplesLevel 1 Goldsmith results after 1 hour: Gold bars produced are 20 for a cost of about 59.300 gold coins.
Best price this owner could ever find is 57.000 for 20 bars.

Best Price this owner could ever find is 1.140.000
1 hour profit: 572k
24hour result at best: Profit of 13,728,000 gc
Price this owner has to find to break even: 1491 gold coins. For anything better than this, it is profit.
Profit for Average gold price (2000 gold price): 192k (4.6 millions at 24h)
This example does not take into account operating costs of the fleets that will do the food supplies/gold bars distribution job.
