Pirates Glory Bi-Annual Fantasy Draft VIII - 2020

Hello Pirates Glory community! It is now that time to soon start up this year’s last Fantasy Draft bi-annual competition/celebration!

The theme I selected this year are what I believe are players who have flashed their skills in battle, in more ways than one. Under dogs or not, multiple of these captains have plundered well over 1000 ships, have fought in one or more various nation wars throughout their time in PG, and have countless ship battles with a notoriety to steal valuable ships from anyone who dares sail them poorly... Here, I present to you...

The she-devil herself...hailing and famed for her plunder and raiding skills, especially against the Spanish reign, with her many thousands of battles and her looted treasures hiding in the darkest corners of Avonmora....Anne_Bonny (#75947)

Previously Kymani...a player attesting to a multitude of battles and identities in his time in PG, including his infamous voodoo slingshot skills...William Pitt (#60061)

An accomplice in conquering ancient Bermuda (SSTG) and a notorious Man of War thief, with over 1000 ship steals and multiple thousands of other ship battles...Banger (#67360)

The silent, but deadly, nation treasury raider, mercenary, the notorious Sloop Master, with a large voodoo chest and thousands of battles, and previous king of Bermuda...Zephore (#71211)

The long-time king of Australia, protector and guildmaster of [GUARD], now Dictator of North Korea and owner of a personal nuclear missile armory, with experience in defending his nation from the relentless attacks of Wally attempting his treasury rooms... Kim Jong Un (#73188)

Our base prizes will be financially provided by yours truly, and will be given go as:

1st place: 110 million gold coins and 110 credits

2nd place: 55 million gold coins and 110 credits

3rd place: 27.5 million gold coins and 110 credits

4th place: 13.75million gold coins and 110 credits

5th place: 6.875 million gold coins and 110 credits

Here are the rules for this draft:

Rounds 1-4 can only be picks of players who have not been selected in previous drafts 5 or more times.

Players selected must have been active in the past 14 days. Proof of activity must be apparent.

Bribing of fantasy draft votes is strictly prohibited. Making accounts to add votes into the fantasy draft is also strictly prohibited.

Active is defined as more than just logging in logging out. Real activity in plunder/skirmishes and active routes must be oblivious.

Witch doctors cannot be selected. A player must run at least 10 ships. Special exceptions are made to those who run less but aren’t considered a witch doctor either.

A witch doctor is defined as someone who runs little to no ships, and only casts offensive voodoo, while not attempting physical profits off of hostile attacks.

Example being: throwing Hostile natives casts at people without conducting a single plunder for any of the lit targets. Another, a player running no ships whatsoever, but also throwing fugitive casts, swarm of worms, and other various hostile cards at players, with no obvious in game physical gains, such as gold coins or fame.

Basically, you can’t be a community selection as a community-viewed toxicity gamestyle of player. If there are questions, do ask. Griefing play-styles should not be a part of the community, therefore should not be allowed into a community festival.

Anyone, who is picked on a draft team, who is caught accepting bribes for votes, shall lead to the removal of either: the team for the draft, or the player from said team. Said player will not receive payouts or donations. If a team is ended up removed from the draft, prizes will be redistributed evenly across the remaining teams.

Rookie ID’s are labeled as joined between day 2753 and now.

Kudos for stepping up to the plate and organizing this seasons draft. It's a lot of work and a lot of other stuff thrown in that happens behind the scenes you must contend with.

Hopefully the contest goes in the spirit it is intended and the vote count is accurate and fair.

Nice choices for Captains. All very worthy of the position. Perhaps they should start getting legal representation lined up now for the finish vote... just kidding but also remembering...

Thank you Stan ! I can’t wait to get this rolling. I have spent quite some hours up late getting this worked with my job schedule lol. Hopefully this one goes very well.

Question or points to be made .... not complaint ...... about this "rule"....

#1 Who in their right mind "picked" on a draft team would accept a bribe for votes. So..... A person selected to a team is still allowed to "offer" bribes.... Just not accept them?

#2 Question..... so people not selected in the draft can still offer and receive bribes for votes? Seems to me this may be more of an issue than those "seelected" accepting bribes.

#3 Who will be the final decision maker as to who/ what is a violation of this "rule"? I mean Clockwork has the most experience in this area, but I would suggest this call be made outside of the current structure. Seems to me, forum mods or maybe a panel selected by the community be the ones, surely you can not expect anyone to take a ruling on such violations laid down by you as legitimate in any way?

#4 Did you come up with this rule yourself or was it either in part or in full, proposed by others .... say in a past draft? If so, who? And if so, did you agree with it when it was proposed?
