Although there is no guarantee Joe is going to live that long, odds are, with more advanced medical techniques he will prolly make it past his father in age. Barring stroke or massive myocardial infarction, which will be monitored for risk, chances are... I'll win the bet.
Regarding dementia, my mom has had dementia for a number of years (over 10) . I think you may be confusing dementia with Alzheimer's which is a much more severe form of mental disorder. Of course both ailments affects everyone in speed of progression to a greater or lesser degree.
I'll even bet Harris will not displace him during his first term but will run for pres in 2024.
Maybe she will run against Ivanka... Wouldn't that be a hoot !!
I think you are right. I admit I am no medical expert at all, but I remember my father told me once sometime after he was in the nursing home, that most folks with one of those diseases would typically die within a year or less after they fully lost their mind. One of his roommates was one such case, and was what prompted him to tell me that-he told me "figured he was gonna die soon once he lost his mind" and told me what he noticed. I think it was Alzheimer's and I just confused it with dementia. Again however, I am no expert, and I am basing it on an observation my father, who is also no expert, noticed in his particular home after some time.
So what will you be betting? 5 creds like me? I really am curious as to how this plays out. Though, this is all assuming Biden takes the presidency, and nothing happens like, fraud is proven and he isn't elected, or aliens come and enslave us or some other scenario.
Edit- also I think I remember hearing that when one is dying, that the mind is the last to go. Not sure how valid that is honestly
