Jokes aside, I will say this, if local laws say you need to wear a mask, you really should wear one..

I am not aware of any state that has passed a mask law.
However governor issued mandates are common.

Mask Mandates

allow bussinesses to refuse entry.
And allow the government abilty to shut buisnesses that are not complying with mandated guidlines.

They also allow the state to impose mask requirements on state property and in state buildings.


The right to impose mask mandates is a state right.
The federal government does not have this right.

What ever happened to not being in a large social gathering...liiiike a , oh i dont know....a protest. Was so funny to hear of the large spikes in corona due to the 50 people who went to a restaurant, but didnt hear the media talk at all about the 10k people peacefully protesting near the cars and buildings that spontaneously combusted not wearing masks right next to each. Nope that couldnt have been responsible for any spikes in covid

The protests I went to, every single person that I saw was wearing a mask. I'm sure that you've been looking at "cherry-picked" footage of protests to make it look like the protesters weren't being safe.

Anyway a pandemic should not get in the way of justice. It may change how it operates, but citizens aren't going to give up on these issues because of it. Understandable. What isn't understandable is going into a grocery store without a mask even when it's illegal and also store policy and then claiming that the government is trying to "restrict your freedoms". What freedoms? The freedoms to give a 90 year old woman COVID that ends up killing her? The freedom to disobey laws? The freedom to look like an incompetent fool that thinks that the entire thing is a hoax?

yes but in large protests Covid can spread through a lot of people making tracing really hard. You could just sign a petition on change.org or something from your house

Its probably a good idea to wear a mask when you go out to intimidate, vandalize and loot.


Why decide to protest during a pandemic?
Its not like these issues just came up this year.
They have been present through all of Trumps presidency.
They were here when Obama was president.
They were here before that.
These offensive statues of democrats and immigrants have in most cases been stsnding well over 100 years.

That's not how it works.

Signing a petition on change.org isn't going to fix the problems. Protesting might. Being active might. Sitting on your ass at your house eating Cheetos and waiting for police brutality to stop is nothing but lazy. You want change, get out there and stand up for yourself and others.

Here in Minnesota there wasn't much of a spike in cases after the protests. It could have been that the first week of protests, and the one where most of the looting/rioting happened was extremely hot, about an average of 96 degrees. It could have been that everyone was wearing masks. It could also have been that not many people that developed symptoms after protesting got tested. Or it could have been luck.

If everyone had just stayed at their house the Derek Chauvin and the other officers might not have even been arrested, or at least not as soon as they were (like three days after they killed Floyd).

Just something to think about.

Will, there is a difference between a protest and a riot. You must understand that. Riots happen late at night, usually protests don't though it happens occasionally.

If you think that the protests have only been happening during the pandemic, moreover during Trump's years in office then you are blind. These problems have been happening for a long time, have been pointed out for a long time, and have been protested for a long time. But for some reason no one seems to notice them until some white dude points it out.

Yeap and the cause of death would have probably been listed as the result of the lethal amount of fentanyl that Floyd took. Pandering to mob mentality and rule is not justifiable.

C'mon, it is so blatantly obvious that Chauvin killed Floyd. I mean he was sitting on his neck for 8 and a half minutes straight. What did you think was gonna happen?

And, even if by some strange magic it was an OD that killed Floyd, Chauvin should still be tried for attempted murder and excessive force. It is the police's job to protect the citizens, not sit on their neck while the life slowly slips away from them. Anyone that would do such a thing is a psycho. To watch in amusement as you slowly kill someone, as they plea for you to stop?

Anyway I guarantee you that if I were to go out into the middle of the street, kneel on your neck and kill you that I would be arrested on the spot, not 3 days later. Even if your cause of death WAS an OD.

Not all his weight on his neck? Then would you care to explain why it suffocated him? All his weight or not, what he did was wrong, psycho, and he should be held to the same standards that you would hold anyone else to: don't kill people.

Just like anyone else who would do that, he should be charged with murder and get a fair trial, a thorough professional case-review, and a reasonable punishment at the minimum.
