The 2 most dangersous things about masks in relationship to Covid.

1 False sense of security.
I have my mask on so im safe. Wrong.

you must reaslize you can get covid by touching things and then touching your face when you remove the mask.
You could get covid from your mask filter size. if you take it off and manage to contaminate the mask.
Masks fo not stop the virus. Only virus that is traveling on particulates larger than the mask. If you envounter pure aerisalized virus it will go through. This is unlikely but possble and more likely in a forced air environment. An environment with higher internal air pressure climate control.
Say perhaphs a walk in refridgerator.


2 some fabrics common to homade masks, gators and bandanas can potentially aerisolize the virus going in or out.
If this occurs it is potentially worse than no mask.
So you have covid and you sneeze. Insead of the covud being contained only in the projected liquids, it is diffused and goes fully airbourne.

Honestly its reallt not that big a deal to get a proper mask and wear it when you go into a store.

I will say loading lumber, mulch ect. Heavy objects in a garden center on a hot day with a mask on sucks.
But i bet getting covid would s**k more so why not live with it for however long it takes to shop.


At one point I worked making granite countertops in a heavy stone dust evironment. Had to wear one while lifting rock and using heavey angle grinders and routers. Its really not thst big a deal to wear one while your grocery shopping.

I don't usually even need to wear one outside unless I'm in a large public gathering like a protest. Yes wearing one on 1 90 degree 60% humidity day would be... unpleasant.

But wear one in the store or you look like a selfish ass (and probably are one).

What ever happened to not being in a large social gathering...liiiike a , oh i dont know....a protest. Was so funny to hear of the large spikes in corona due to the 50 people who went to a restaurant, but didnt hear the media talk at all about the 10k people peacefully protesting near the cars and buildings that spontaneously combusted not wearing masks right next to each. Nope that couldnt have been responsible for any spikes in covid

i look like a selfish as everywhere i go i dont wear a mask, i feel it will catch a loogy but thats the only thing it will stop. i sand on paint on bondo all the time the only thing that keeps the dust out is a resporator. so i feel like its a waste of money and you all look foolish to me when ylu wear your masks so idk my whole town is maskless its whatever

Well like i said before, i dont mind wearing a mask when shopping and such, but like i also said, cigarette smoke particles are larger than the virus, sooooo if you can smell a cigarette through your mask, it aint stopping no virus, sorry to say, but it makes people feel better like they have some sort of control.

Im with Will again, its a better coarse to keep your hands away from your face till you sanitize them and watch what you touch. In my house we have gone a bt further since this all started and we have Lysol in our mud room, when ever we go to the store or other public place, we spray the bottoms of our shoes...why?

The virus can "live" (as im sure we all know a virus is not actually a living thing) for an average or 2 days, people cough or sneeze and gravity brings that stuff........down to the floor. so it makes sence to hit the shoes, clean the hands and masks is what ever to me.

Oh, and i just heard of a man who went to the doctor:

Jokes aside, I will say this, if local laws say you need to wear a mask, you really should wear one. Same with businesses that say they won't serve you without a mask. If masks are not required by law or by an establishment, do or do not, just don't be an arse and go around doing stupid crap like that lady who went and coughed on food, or any other stupid pranks.
