Not to mention after thinking about it a bit, guns are used for other purposes. Paint ball guns and squirt guns for playing with, nail guns for construction, those are non lethal versions of guns that serve other purposes.

So even IF we went by your asinine logic, they are still tools with multiple purposes.

And why does a gun being used for killing other living beings make it not a tool? It's LITERALLY a tool made to shoot things. Again, just because YOU don't like what the tool's purpose is, doesn't magically make it not a tool. This is basic definitions mate,

How? A 'tool' mean't to kill would be a weapon. A bomb is not a tool it's a weapon made to kill. So are you saying a weapon made to kill is a tool? I've never heard anyone call a weapon or a gun a tool. Are you saying atomic bombs are tools too since they kill people and destroy things?

And what is a weapon? A tool meant to kill. Now we are just circling around. Yes, bombs are tools designed to blow up. They can be used to demolish old buildings, clear paths, and, in wars kill the opposing side. So yes, they too are tools.

At this point I'm done talking about this with you. It's like arguing with a child at this point, who doesn't want to admit when they are wrong. By the very BLOODY definition of tools and weapons you can see that weapons are tools. If you don't want to admit that, then I'm done trying to reason with you.

You could literally just google, "is a weapon a tool" and the answer will be YES.

If im not mistaken, werent knives originally only weapons... Chipped and sharp rocks held in the hand, our front teeth are made to rip flesh, feral peoples wouldn't have cared about table manners. Eating what you killed wasnt the issue, it was killing what you wanted to eat.

Think of it like this. A tool generally exists to make a certain action easier. Hammers make putting nails in objects easier, paint brushes make painting easier, and guns make killing easier. That's all a weapon is. A tool made to make killing someone or something easier. It's why humans are at the top of the food chain. We could never kill something like a bear, without using some sort of weapon.

Hell, look at Dynamite. The person who made it, I believe intended it to be for making passes through mountains easier by just blowing up a path. But so many people died from that tool they called him the merchant of death.

So then he went and made the nobel peace prize to clear his name. a funny story honestly.

Exactly like Draque said. All a weapon is is a tool who's purpose is generally to hurt or kill another living being. So it's a tool. Just because you might not like what it's main purpose is, doesn't change it's definition.

Also, just because it isn't multi-purpose, doesn't change that either. Not all tools have multiple purposes. A screw driver, makes for a poor hammer. A hammer, is a poor tool for painting. A paint brush is pretty worthless in putting in screws.

i wonder how many kitchen knives or ball bats are mislabeled yearly lol
but a gun is a gun is a gun and while its labeled a weapon its a great preventitive tool for crime and for those who ignore them its a great preventitive for repeat offenders
