I work at a hospital and we wear masks but when we deal with highly infectious patients we wear a mask within a mask.
Our make you feel good mask gets covered by a plastic face shielded helmet that comes with other articles of clothing depending on the security and protection we need for that particular patient.
But I guess I will go to work and get them to read this thread and adopt a new policy based on an out of work student of weather patterns so I can bypass the really uncomfortable apparatus in favor of our decorative mask.

Thank you guys so much for your superficial measure mandates, the number of lives that will be saved is YUUUUUUUGE.


P.S. The Democratic bill allowing Govenors to place recovering COVID patients in nursing homes was the most intelligent piece of legislation I have ever seen.
Couple that with all the Democratic sanctioned "protests" and we should see the flattening of the curve in no time.

Actually, the only masks that "can" effectively stop the transfer of the virus are the N95 rated mask or better. All these other masks/cloth dont really do much except make people feel better. As a person who went through the gas chamber twice and saw actually containment suits both on and off (tear gas sucks btw ), viruses are smaller than the particles of smoke that come off a cigarette, so the chances are, if you can smell the smoke from a cigarette through that mask you bought from etsy, it isnt gonna stop corona. Try it for yourself

I saw this coming and purchased 5 boxes of n95 masks at the beginning of the year, gave away 2 boxes worth to others. The analogy of the draywall sanding is good. The particles are very fine, so your supposed to use N95 sanding masks or better to filter the particulates out of the air your breathing in. "These respirators filter out at least 95% of very small (0.3 micron) particles. N95 FFRs are capable of filtering out all types of particles, including bacteria and viruses". If your mask doesnt have this or better it may as well be underwear on your face, its just to make you feel better, that why the hospitals weren't looking for flannel shirt smiley face masks. lmao

Only 2 times through the gas chamber? I went through 5 times and enjoyed every minute of it. CS gas is the ultimate way to clear your sinuses. Slight irritation, but other than that it's nothing. You want to have some fun, get military OC'd in the face and then navigate a hand to hand combat course.

LMAO, well i smoked at the time and it didnt bother my lungs as much but they made us do push ups and jumping jacks in chem suits before demasking to answer questions... burned the skin a bit

Got CS gassed on the flight line one day by some army guys popping cans and the wind was blowing the gas across the runway and around the planes. We had to keep evacuating, it looked like a hyrdazine leak from EPU activations. Once we learned the army guys were training, we all had a good laugh... Jerks!

i remeber the skin burning like sunburn and my eyes watering a lot. but i only went once and they were easy on us i was able to hold my breath almost to the exit so it wasnt bad for me
