He want's to deploy the US army to stop the riots which will make it worse and make the protesters more violent. Sure he doesn't have complete control of what is happening with the coronavirus but he needs to standardize how the US responds to it because right now the response is kinda ineffective and also deploying the army to stop the riots is a bit too far I feel. The US economy is also weakening because of the high amount of cases among other things and the Aussie ecomony is gaining on the US economy even though it was already pre weakened by the bush fires
To compare how other countries did something vs how the USA did something is a bad comparison, especially considering how the USA is setup.
This is where an understanding of how the US Constitution and the authorities of the Federal Government vs States Governments comes into play. Unless explicitly granted to the Federal Government, all other authorities belong to the States. COVID-19 while a "national emergency" did not incapacitate the state governments, so the President while having some authority would have committed political suicide and a potential Constitutional Crisis if he attempted to overrule the States. The President acted correctly and took actions that were consistent with the purview of the Federal Government to include travel restrictions, monetary support for the States, utilization of the Defense Production Act, etc. The economy taking a hit was not the Presidents fault or a result of his actions.
As far as the riots, the Federal Government and specifically the President is more than authorized to use the military. Rioting is not protected by the 1st Amendment. Rioting and more specifically Occupied/Autonomous Zones can prevent the enforcement of Federal Law. This is covered under the Insurrection Act of 1807. If the states fail to, refuse to, or just can't act, the President is authorized to use Federal Troops (military) to stop any insurrections, rebellions, or civil disobedience. An example of the Presidents ability and use of this Act to use federal troops was during the desegregation of schools in the USA back during the 1950s. State politicians refused to comply to court-ordered desegregation and the President sent in the military to make them comply.

Test less people!
Dude is on crack
you obviously dont get what he means there..
we by far have tested way more people than anyone else, so there for our numbers on paper are way higher, simple logic.
what that means is, think about china for a second and their high population.. .. now if they tested the same % of their pooulation we can only assume at this point what the real numbers are.. ..
on top of that those people are infected if you test them or not and everyone still has low mortality rate compared to the influenza so whats the pandimic about

You're right, I definiitely don't get what he means, because not only did he state it, he then double down and confirmed he meant it as a means of case control.
Australia has tested at virtually the same rate per 1000 of population.
If you don't care that the actions and inactions of your administration, led by the best and most popular president in the history of the world, has resulted in countless avoidable illness and death then you may the one illinformed.
Part of it is the healthcare system we have here, something that can't happen in the US due to the billions of $$$ incested in lobbyists by your HC corporations and big pharma, and that's a shame, because it works.
You don't have to allow your corporations to act like a bunch of cunts to be a succesful capitalism based democracy.
The stats above are no pissing competition, just highlighting what good government and responsible corporate watchdogs can do.
The US has has 24 times the cases of Australia per 1000 population
And a criminal, literally criminal, 92 times the deaths per 1000 population.
With almost exactly the same test rate..
