Vote here about how you think Mods should act.

Personally I agree with option 3, though 5 is very valid too :D.

You can joke and be professional about it too! But as a representative of a game, you are the public face for evDaimon. You cannot afford to dilute corporate standards based on personal mood.

Some would disagree about that. I do think that there are times and places to joke and to be serious. I also think that sometimes a good joke can help ease tension and make a grim serious situation a little less grim. Though I admit I might be a bit overly jokeful, and will sometimes joke around a bit too much.

I will also say that you should keep in mind that I and the others are ordinary folk like you-sometimes we make mistakes or act inappropriately. So try not to be overly critical-I'm not even sure how old the other mods and admin are exactly. That's another factor, there are folks in this game who ain't even adults. And goodness knows teenagers can be a handful :xx

Evdaimon btw is not a corporation but a small business. Also, games are better off with humour rather than strict standards. I have seen way too many games getting destroyed from this.

nothing wrong with joking around in my mind.. its when someone gets verbaly attacked or abused everytime they say something by a dev team member... that is not cool. then other people voice thier opinions about it and they get issued warnings for being toxic or abusive or what ever fits for them at the time to shut them up

As I see it, all moderators are still required to play the game to the fullest.

Moderators are given added privileges and responsibilities. With these they must play the game like any other player but also keep in mind that there are rules that must be adhered to.

If a moderator is acting inappropriately, there is a reporting feature. Don't assume you won't get a fair shake for reporting them or even messaging them directly and asking them. Speaking to them can resolve a lot of issues. As well, PMs are logged and if they are acting inappropriately and continue to do so in the PMs, on can always present that data to another Mod or Admin.

i dont see anywhere where it says you have to poke fun at anyone and i dont see anywhere where it says its ok for a dev team member or admin but not for other players to say demeaning and belittling personal attacking words to anyone.. infact i see the opposite

I didn't say there was.

Union of Honor allows some flaming and banter that isn't allowed in the other forums. If you think someone is violating the rules, then report the post. It doesn't matter who it is.

I'm looking at the previous reported posts and I see nothing. So where is this issue? Please point out the posts that are in violation of the rules so they can be addressed.

The last reported forum post by a non-mod was made on July 19th.

All I see are general accusations about a dev member abusing their role, but nothing that provides any actual information on who it is, or supporting evidence of the actions that are abuse.
