New Community Administrator: Meliva

Ahoy,

We have a new Community Administrator: Meliva

Congratulations!

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who applied. I have not replied to anyone if I recall correctly. Excuse me for this. I do thank you for your interest though. You can still help at the community management by helping Meliva.

Here is the initial roles that Meliva is assuming:

1)Forums
-Manage the forum mods
She will be responsible to add/remove forum mods as she sees fit. There are no limitations here.

-Enforce Forum Rules
Forum mods are needed to enforce forum rules. Meliva's role a the community administrator is to find the mods who will do this but she can also handle such tasks.

-Keep forums organized
This is again a forum mod responsibility and just like enforcing forum rules, Meliva will need to make sure the forum mods do what is needed and also help towards this direction.

2)In-game Forums
She maintains current status where she and Shadowood can edit or delete a post. This cannot change yet as the in-game mod controls are not ready yet. Once controls are ready, she will assume the same role as in public forums.

3)Community Development
Meliva's primary objective is to look after the game community. This is one very critical aspect of the game, the community is what keeps the game together. The current community has to be well informed and this will be part of her role. However, not only this is enough as she will be responsible for also helping it grow.


4)Future Roles
This is a very critical position for the game. The community administrator should have powers over all aspects of the game and this is the long term intent. For now, we do not want to overwhelm Meliva at her first steps. Plus, it is important for everyone to realize which is the primary objective, which is the development of the community.

For all these services to the game, Meliva will receive 50 credits per month, as a symbolic token of appreciation.
This is going to increase in the future.

I really consider this position hard and the success of such a position is directly related to the help of the community. We already have a good community here and Meliva is at one hand diving into the deep but I am sure that plenty of you will help her swim. I personally have high confidence at her.
