WAR? Well boys and girls... I think so!

Anything related to in-game diplomacy (and beyond) can be brought here.
Guild news and announcements, war declarations, recruitment, military service offerings, etc.

Flaming is expected here. If you are easily offended, avoid this thread all together.

If the former, I think IOM can live with that.
If the later, can IOM live with that?

It is pretty clear 50% of kiribati does not want Isle to have the port and I would respect that.

I am fine with the later, but prefer it gifted sooner.

Great! Now if TK kindly lay out a simple vision, perhaps we can bury the hatchet soon?

Yeah would be nice for this matter to be settled quick. Normally I wouldn't mind conflicts like this, but I think this is sort of drowning out the draft going on, which is a shame in my opinion.

Im pretty sure I even bought back some of my ships from the Market. Lmao You offered help and attacked, they offered help and helped. Wasn't a hard decision.

To Daniks point, I think its getting lost here in the chatter. Kiri had a handful of actives literally at most.
A few points.
1. deal was made for smooth transition with 2 of top Kiri
2. One of two no longer wanted deal after events took place
3. Governor of Port in question fought as did other Nations to keep Port.

Were is the problem? UK has 4 ports, St Kitts 4 ports, Spain 4 ports, IoM 3 ports and TK now has 3
IoM has 7 people, and 3 ports. How many actives in the game? How many nations? So it has nothing to do with fairness or distribution.

It doesnt matter why TK wants to control Baramas be it temporarily or permanently does it? They put in the resources to secure it for themselves.

14 lol my bad what resources have I claimed to lose?
If you speak of any discussion with BS then I offered my numbers to hear his.
And even that is silly he purports to claim a loss on Baramas when it was Grenada.
I know who lost on Grenada and he wasnt on that list.
Mugiwara had a billion dollar debt ........ and he paid them off..... with interest.
so if anything he has made money on it as Grenada and as Kiri.
I don't cry I will debate but I don't cry.
I will even jab and jeer but not cry.
I have said all I need to to those who matter they know my game plan and thats what I am sticking to.

I can attest to this as well. Mugi did have debts for Grenada. When he quit he sold everything and paid them off. Mohamed invested from his own purse... I invested from my own purse.... the remaining citizens in Grenada may have had loans... may not have had loans. But if they did the portion attributed to Baramas was actually quite small in comparison.

Their is no "Bankers lein" on Baramas. That was just an excuse. All thos e debts were paid in full long ago.

Alternatives on the table currently:

1. TK keep the port for a set period on the promise to transition it to a nation that is either Kiribati or a new aspiring nation.
2. TK transfer the port back to Kiribati and everyone go home.
3. Both TK and IOM relinquish the port to a neutral party who will transfer the port to either Kiribati or a new aspiring nation.
4. Both sides keep dashing it out till who knows when!

I like Option #5.

Since St Kitts Nevis gave Kiribati the port of Baramas after our rise, we feel that the port of Baramas defaults back to our ownership when Kiribati gave it up.

On a serious note:

I see where IOM is coming from, but one thing I don’t get is if IOM is buying then why did UK take it first?

On TK point of view, yes ports are not really owned but controlled. TK can choose to go to war over port ownership. IOM can choose to defend their new acquisition. Neither of them are wrong on the matter.

Who is entitled to control the port? The simple answer is, whoever can keep it. Considering the age of SHM and BS in the game and their resources, i think they can outlast the port war easily. Knowing VUDU, they will continue to hassle TK and Ravenlock after the loss for a long time.

Proposal: if TK and IOM/VUDU can agree on a monetary value to go peacefully and relinquish Baramas to IOM, that would be optimal.

Alternative: Vane comes in last minute for a new nation and control the port !
