For the record, your correct Shadow, you only attacked me in a few "normal" hits for someone who is lit, and thank you for that. You are one of the few IoM / Vudu who acted in good faith when I was inactive for a few days sick. See I knew he didnt get lucky :)

My point is this, Astra was not the only person who had a say. IoM would have got the port, but you guys made a bad decision so I looked for options and people who keep to their word and are honorable and do what right for the port that Tk, UK and Kiri built up together.

You all have no one to blame but yourselves. Stop looking for answers why, you know why.

Dman,

You must have me confused with someone else. I was never MERC before, I joined the game as USA, was there for a few days when Thalius approached me, I joined the guild under him with Astra, then they let me into Kiri where I have remained, honored to be an honorable player with an honorable nation till yesterday when I came to TK.

You all know the reason the deal didnt go through, you got bad advice from someone, and then made a bad bad bad business decision. thats it. Time to move on.

So you are admitting UK has a stake in this as well....... thank you. Some completely blew off that point and others decided to cast props on UK ports.

I do appreciate the public admission.

Belive what you want, your more paranoid than Stan and dman, I did not point anyone at you as a target or tell them you were not around.

I added this late in my last post - I will repeat it.

Honestly - It seems like it is only you and Astra that are the only concerned members of kiri at this point, why don't the two of you choose any nation that is not Isle or TK for the port to go to. Spain, UK, USA, St Kitts, Could give bermuda or bonaire back a port if they wanted it and were able. I would support that.

UK would sign off on that as well as long as it was an open process available to all groups. UK gifted it and i would rather see it go to another group worthy than back to UK.

Feniks,
I was not around when Kiri was formed, but I was one of the few who tried to stay and keep it alive.

William,
My loyalty lies with SHM now as he is my king. I will back what ever he sees fit to do.

To me faithful adversary, Shadowood, and all of his friends;

I have corresponded with folks in Kirbati, Isle of Man and Tokelau concerning port control of Baramas. I step back and look at the big picture and thru me bloodshot eyes and hung over brain came conclusion:

1) Kirbati was abandoning Baramas.
2) Isle of Man had varied reasons - right, wrong, indifferent - to stake a claim to Baramas,
3) Tokelau had an even wider range of reasons - right, wrong, indifferent - why they didn't and should prevent it, thus claim it for herself.
4) The King of Kirbati left to join Isle of Man, the Governor for Kirbati in Baramas left to join Tokelau.
5) As a side note, Isle if Man and the UK were the only two nations to decline to sign peace treaties with "the neutral, peaceful banking nation of Tokelau. Not that it matters, as it doesn't - they only signed treaties with each other, for whatever the true value of of those treaties be other than politicking. Teuth is, they did not wish to indicate they desired peaceful relationships with Tokelau.

Bottom line: both nations have tried to sell the other on merits as to why their positions be right. Arguing, name calling and saber rattling didn't settle the issue.

The fact be Baramas - and all ports - be open ports. Truth is ye don't own a port, ye control it - can't be bought or sold. You are "permitted" to control it by others who don't want it and don't mind ye havin' it.

We be at an impass that now be decided by who has the most influence at the end of the day, which may be niether Tokelau nor the Isle of Man.

Sad part be it be fought with gold coin and voodoo rather than ships, but I digress...

As for peaceful nation, that be an ideal - doesn't mean passive. We strive to defend and maintain our interests just as any other port nation would do, even at the risk of losing it all.

Me hangover be gettin' the better of me - best go find a dram to cure this sobriety.

Wow.... so Draque admits UK has interests as well and it be ignored again.

Very political answer that did not address any of the questions posed, did not address any of the proposals..... in essence a simple "I can't be bothered" would better serve as a response. At least it would have been an honest response.

The only reason for not signing a treaty is the fact that it limits the ability to conduct ship piracy. As you have said, conducting war with coin and voodoo is not a fun way to go. Many of us enjoy a good sea battle or two, hence the unwillingness of the UK to sign a treaty that would generate hostility from our nation. We do desire to have a peaceful relationship with TK just outside of the terms dictated by the "peace treaty" function of the game.

I appreciate that, Banger - I hesitated to even mention that, but meh - it was there.

As for Feniks, if you have a stake in Baramas, I cannot deny it. Get in line....welcome to the party!
