And I was waiting for the first idiot to say this. At least 17 people are dead and your first reaction is gun control.

Schools are gun free zones. The only thing gun control laws do is prevent law abiding citizens from carrying a firearm in those areas and shooting back.

Doesn't mean you have to start calling people names. That's uncalled for. Each their own opinion, and calling people names for that, means you're an asswipe

Me and Astra have had this discussion before I think and we will continue to agree to disagree.

As for a time thats appropriate to introduce it as a political agenda I dont see a problem with timing for him as it supports his beliefs as a tragic example.

You can bet when its tried in Texas and the killer is shot I will be pointing out in that tragedy that it supports my beliefs.
If his timing is offensive to you then ignore his comment.

Again just another opinion and since this is a global platform I will guarantee we will never be a solitary opinion and honestly thats a good thing as opinions fuel debates and that encourages thinking.

Again just my opinion so of course I agree with it :D

Big +1

Most who commit crimes involving guns don't hold a firearms license. They are already not allowed them, if guns were prohibited what stops them illegally obtaining them anyway?

If everyone was armed who would dare draw a gun? They wouldn't get far..

But I guess as an outsider it's hard to understand how it is. All I see is the violence. And video's on youtube where people get pulled over by cops, while carrying guns and all that. As stated, completely different laws in Australia and the Netherlands. I wouldn't know how it is to be allowed guns and all that. So I can only create an opinion based on my own experiences. And yes, that might be short-sighted. I'm the first 1 to admit that. Doesn't mean my opinion is right or wrong.

It's tragic that this happened. I truly believe that America's promotion of mental-illness acceptance, such as forgiving pedophiles because "they didn't know any better" or letting exclusively homosexuals dictate who and what is allowed to prosper in society, in the is to blame for gun violence and a large part of politically motivated violence but that's my opinion.. As a Texan born and raised I am pretty firm on where I stand within the spectrum of politics and what I notice happening in today's world in the discrimination of differing opinions, both politically and socially. If I don't agree that trannies should be allowed into the bathroom that corresponds with a new hunk of skin they got put on or removed, I shouldn't be ostracized. :)

May God bless these families and give them peace of mind in the storms they are facing.

I'm an asswipe for calling out a jackass who chose to throw political commentary on a discussion that was created for prayers on behalf of the families involved. You deserve to be called worse. You are cheap opportunist.

Australia this and Australia that. France has very similar laws to Australia in regards to firearms. Yet that didn't stop the Paris Shootings, I'm sure the victims of that tragedy were like, thank goodness for our strict gun control laws.
