That's only valid for treasures below 2k turns.

Right forgot to mention that part, If you invest more then 2K turns then you can find any treasure that has less turns then what you invested. So if someone buried a treasure with 2000 turns, you would only need 2001 to find it. But honestly unless you have turns to spare, its better to use them different things.

I agree turns could be spent way better than treasure hunting. But for those who burry there treasure my advice is use 1999 turns that way it take more than 3K turns for it to be taken

I don't think that's how it works Wolfie, Burying treasure between 1K-2K wont apply the double turn rule required to find them. 2K turns would find them just fine. And if you are right, then technically speaking I think that would actually be an exploit, since I don't think that's what the Devs intended. Though I could be wrong.

If it is exploit then it needs to be fixed . But that's how I understood CJ and help page

It's explotable either way, Meliva. If it works the way you say, then one should spend 1000 turns burying the treasure. Why? Because anyone spending 1999 or fewer turns looking for treasure would not find this treasure, while anyone using 2000 turns looking, would find any treasure buried even if it was buried with 1999 turns. So spending more than 1000, but less than 2000 turns to bury a treasure, is pointless.

Well since I believe that's the way the devs intended it to be, it isn't an exploit. Again, perhaps I am wrong and that's not what the devs intended.

Had my buried treasure stolen 1 time and proceeded to "sprinkle' a number of treasure holes with 1 gc and buried deep around Avonmora in a few ports. Been months since I have visited them so they may be working their way to the surface by now.
