Not factually incorrect but it is missing a piece. The seemingly random mutations led to advantageous and non-advantageous traits. These traits influenced if an organism was going to survive and pass on this new trait(s), or not. The environment acted as a "stress" factors. Other factors include's competition, availability of food, and predator's for most species.

Or you could forget all of that mumbo jumbo and believe in God. I read an article that evolution had taken a beating because of the discovery of a use for supposed vestigial glands, more specifically- the appendix. It carries the good bacteria to boost a recovery but can easily become infected and a problem from what I remember. I personally believe the complexity of nature must have a creator and evolutional theory does not necessarily conflict with religion.
