New Special trait SoL/MoW

-Every plundered Ship of the Line or Man 'o War cannot be sold, commandeered or placed in a Private Marina before 48 hours pass since the time of the plunder.

-1. This will effect pirating too much, as if the cost was not enough - Now you have to worry about it for the next 48 hours.

Maybe for the next hour, but that is pushing it. I am sure the 'pirates'; you think are pirates will probably agree. This would be a move to kill off all pirates in Avonmora at least, the ones that do not revolve around transactions with real life money but perhaps that is what you are after, Jack.

It already costs a lot in terms of Voodoo, in time not so much but due to the little ships a true pirate carrys - He would have to be on for a good number of hours each day, which is fine - But this would really hurt in resources.

I can see two sides here. My first thought was -1 for the same reasons John gave.

However I do see a strategy involved in having to protect them from a return attack or other blood thirty pirates.

There is some extra strategy involved here, where one could plunder the plunderer.

Interesting CJ. I would like to hear what others have to say.

-1. Pirating is about speed. This would crush it harder than any of the other changes combined. No thief just "keeps" the ship for a day or two. It is sold so nothing can be taken from them. This crushes the entire ideology of it.


Why even steal ships when the merchant has TWO ENTIRE DAYS to sink/defleet the ships and then hit you again and again. There is exactly 0 point to this.

Not that is already hard enough to defleet a target with these new sink chances. Pretty sure just tripled the need for levis during every raid which makes it even more costly than it already was.

We either need to make SoLs/MoWs more durable to thievery or we need to make thievery harder. Either way, current system needs to be changed.

This is utter twaddlewabble, sir. It does not need to be changed at all ;This is something purely against Pirates, and WOULD ruin the gameplay, where is JessicaA?

I don't see it eliminating piracy, just takes it in a different direction where one needs to adapt.

I ask, why must there be more SoTLs/MoWs? In my opinion, in the olden days these ships were very valuable and rare. Not every half decent merchant should be sailing one.
