.:: Nelson's Post ::.

Ahoy there folks, due to me being busy later doing other things - I will post this Chronicle now. Normal posting will resume tomorrow as planned; Last time we looked at how Revenge of the Forsaken fell and then how the player Pirate Roberts panned out his revenge on the guild The Pirate Kings of which some individuals declare it was not as grand as it use to be, and that a player would never be able to raid successfully when they were in " full force ". However, here we are Part 3 of Pirate Roberts Chronicle.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- John Avery's Story - Joe Boot's Infamous Raid! : The Chronicle's -

Previously, on John Avery's Story - The Chronicle's the player Pirate Roberts old guild was destroyed in a war against The Pirate Kings, and Pirate Roberts swore he would get his revenge, and revenge he did get...

After the war, this player made sure he was being silent for as long as he could however Pirate Roberts got the dreadful news of his old friend who had taught him a few things - And actually helped him in times of need Joe_Boot was inactive - So he had two choices:
A) He could be respectful and wait till he returns.
B) He could make a plan, to try to capture a few Man of Wars to make his name 'known' in Avonmora.

Knowing, his name was on the line as " Pirate Roberts " or as some players called him " Dread Roberts " his complete victory slipped beneath the waves each second he was wasting for he knew - The main Pirate Kings players, were indeed still active and monitoring the situation at hand; and somewhat thought they could take it...

Without no time to loose, Pirate Roberts bought 200 turns every 12 hours for 2 days in a row - Making a total of 800 turns...

The next day passed the player, Pirate Roberts cast 3 Fugitive of Justice upon Joe_Boot just before the hour with his new 'found' strategy, little did he know he was going to bring this once great strategy that Skyhawk made back to life - That many players would be calling a glitch, and milking...

Turned out the infamous Joe_Boot had 20 million gold coins - So if he wanted a few capitals he would have to have to drain Joe_Boot's treasury to a decent stage - But even after this, it would not be enough to capture ships.

12 hours passed, making it 19:00 this player Pirate Roberts managed to drain Joe Boot to 7,500,000 gold coins in his raid earlier so now it would be time to use this strategy - 3 FoJ before the hour, then cancel it straight after. Then cast again the next hour...

His strategy worked... Joe Boot's fleet's were lit...

Of course, in them times you did not have such vultures as they are today like Merc... No..No..No... Pirate Roberts had to attack Joe Boot until he was down to a reasonable state - Of which, he did just that! He assumed The Pirate Kings simply did not notice.

So without one moment to loose he picked a fleet to capture, which if I recall correctly it was fleet 21 which had 3 Ship of the Line and 2 Man-O-War inside it with no tail the ransom was a mere 75,000 gold coins...

After this fleet was taken - Pirate Roberts knew he was still in the profit, and could still claim a fleet so without any moment to loose - He went for another fleet in Tzogos if I recall...

Which had 1 MoW and another 3 Ship of the Lines with a frigate tail - Wham! He claimed these as well..

Being out of turns, and a player called Danik casting Generosity on Joe_Boot he had no other choice to cancel the raid... Claiming Roberts was getting to greedy in his ways..

This was, in Roberts eyes one of the finest moments he had ever seen - Over 150 Million gold coins in one day! You see, the Ship market just came out and not many was using it... This led to Joe_Boot's complete de-fleet later on by Juicy and Roberts - When they be working together...

Next time on The Chronicles: Pirate Roberts, savaged and stolen!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, I do not regret this as much as I am worried if he comes back; Some like to claim Joe Boot would not cast on me due to if I had not done it, somebody else would of done it. Joe_Boot was by rights far far better then I am, in terms of combat and morales... At one time he had over 12 Man-O-War's at hand, he was a player not to be reckoned with. As I said, if you liked this Chronicle please post it below!

So that is it, I hope you have enjoyed this as much as I liked logging it down,
This is so, I can log the events that is still bothering me today,
Please state what you think to this, if you want it to continue or not...
Opinions welcome,
John Avery.

you start to know me

was Joe Boot in a guild? what was his relation to PK?

you did not mention booty masters. with 20 mil gc i think that using them was a good investment and strategy.
19 booty's would have saved you those 12 hours and you'd have had more turns left.

so, how did you drain the gc? just by attacking? with the 250k cap, you need 50 attacks at least. how many fleets were out there?

He had approximately 50 fleets. If not more.

I should hope so - He was inside PK with a mass of 20 Million fame points ( He was not hit in the ZomB War )

Oh yes but, in those days Booty Masters were much more harder to come by, and more expensive.

A story is something that is made up...

Well, you see before your time;Demographics page showed the top player in terms of Gold Coins without a min limit, so in that case often players would use Booty Master to get fast coins... I remember, when I was a new player Joe Boot was always there with 25 M...

Well you see, some of The Pirate Kings were still active and online at the time such examples were R0nnie.

If I got caught, they would of cast Generosity, and placed a Mindbar up upon him. So by doing this, I avoided detection.

Not such a waste of credits, if I gained 150 M...

Nice read and good "story" Avery/Nelson

And a story can be true. Not every story is fiction.
I don't fear death. I look forward to it with great anticipation. For then I will met God face to face and let him know that I stole his Man of War!!!
