I would like to give an update on the progress we have on the Herald so far.
I have received a handful of applications. They are not many but they are not few. Certainly we will need more journalists (I estimate that we will need to have at least 7 journalists) and the applications are fewer than the positions.
However, just like I told to every applicant, we might have open positions but these positions won't be filled up unless we find the most suitable persons. Therefore I asked them to submit a sample story so I can check up on their potential.
One of the problems we are going to face will be proofing. For instance, one person might be good at writing but weak in English. This is why we will need some volunteers to proof the articles in the Herald. If you are interested for such, let me know through a PM.
You may send an application of interest to become a journalist at anytime. Once we reach seven, applications will close and recruitment will be done by invitation only.
