Search feature has been added. Input the card name. We selected this (text typing) instead of a drop down menu with card names. Hopefully it works better this way.

Make sure you check up the new links on the HEADER IMAGE as described in the changelog and the news notification in-game.

After this implementation, we are going to slowly remove all links to My Fleets page that are usually placed at the right hand menu.
Same goes with voodoo links, they will be removed from all right hand menus as well.

If you have found any of them particularly handy, let us know and we will let them intact.

We have several updates today. The root of these updates is the current number of port population while we also near the launch of the titles feature and some issues need to be ironed out.

In detail, here are all the issues addressed with these updates:
-First of all, there was a bug affecting population removal when someone were hiring crew members to their ships. This means that the millions of hired crew so far, were never removed from pop population. In the same time, any crew FIRED was being ADDED NORMALLY! The bug has been fixed and this will now happen as it should have been happening all this time (crew fired join the population, crew hired leaves the population port ). As a further fix of the issue we will issue 1 or 2 global events of Plague that will affect all ports. Just because the plague will affect all ports will mean that this will be the same for everyone.

-Secondly, we want to reduce the number of people in ports, mostly for realism. Having 100 million people in one port sounds unrealistic. This is not a tax issue for the forthcoming countries feature as we have not yet decided the amount of tax each citizen will pay to its country. Its only about making populations seem more realistic. This however will affect some other things such as crew hiring in a positive way. In order to achieve this, we have reduced the amount of population raise per gold donated to port. This is one of the three available ways (the other two are Transport Immigrants voodoo card and the final way is to hire them as crew in your ship at one port and fire them as crew to another port) to increase port population. With this change, we believe that population will not be again so abundant. In contrary, it will become easier to decline than to increase. For this reason, in the future (and in country missions) food resource will start playing a role here. After all, in the future, port population will become a big factor on how game is evolved.

-Another issue we wanted to balance, is crew hiring cost. If you take a look on the bonuses offered from the titles for countries, is cheaper or free recruiting. With so low cost, there would be little of no interest for such a perk. Moreover, there are some voodoo cards that affect crew hiring that were at large ignored. Therefore by increasing the crew hiring cost, we add one extra thing to include on your calculations in the future. We increased the minimum amount required to pay to 10, which is double the daily cost for each crew member; we find this a realistic amount. The fee may rise up to 15 gold per crew member, if port population is meagre.

These three changes would unbalance cards like Buried Treasure, Hidden treasure and would also make things difficult for newbies. Therefore we adjusted these values to be in balance with the new accounting.

Finally, we got natural disasters. I explained in the first point why we will have one or two forced plague events. The rest will start from November 1 or even later. These will be completely random but scarce and we will only ensure that the same disaster does not happen in the same port for some time.

hmm the map seems off after the world name change...is it just me, or do the port names seem in a slightly off position...totruga seems to be near an island, but on water ._. and was that lane mass of thorakas and gasp alwats connected to neapolis and caspian etc? are the sea levels rising because of avanmoran global warming?

Old trade report system will be removed in 3 days. Till then, both systems will run.

I want you all to pay attention to all updates today.

Here are the important ones:
  • 0.8.175: [BugFix] Google Account link failure when account email is different than google account fixed. If you have ended up with such an issue in the past, send an email to webmaster@evdaimon.com from your current account email and we will manually fix your issue.
  • 0.8.177: [Tweak] Countercurse no longer affects your own curses.
  • 0.8.179: [NEW FEATURE] Guild Battles now available to all guild members.

And what to notice:
-First of all, if you are affected by the google account link bug, please send us an email.
-Countercurse tweak which is important!
-The links for guild battles have been positioned in two places:
  • In Plunder Page -> Battles page
  • As a main guild page link at the right hand menu: Click on your guild tag next to your username at the top of the page -> Click on Guild Battles link

Guild battles are visible to all guild members. Within the day we will create a new permission so you can control which ranks will have access to the guild battles. Only battles against players are listed here.

Btw, if you notice anything abnormal that would mean a possible multiplayer, make sure you report it, even if it is your guildmate. We will check it up and take any necessary actions if there is such a case. Generally, such cases are rare but as I said before, while the game is played fairly, this is not enough; a game must be fair and also show fair. We might add a report button there in the future, to make it easier.

-We added the permissions for guild officers to set who they want to see the guild battles.

-We have fixed/upgraded the way Battles are stored in the database. This has also fixed an issue where a battle sometimes appeared empty. The new way will allow us in the future to offer longer store of battles in our database (currently 30 days, we might increase this up to 1 year!!!! We will know in 30 days from now).

-I had to make a couple of attacks on real players to test the new format. No harm done to anyone ;)
