(Stuff Avonmora don't want you to know)The Government

The Government

Ok, I am not sure if this has been proposed already but here is my suggestion.

Each and every country, independent state and dependent state has a different way to govern it's people. Some choose democracy, oligarchy, monarchy etc. Well don't you think it's time Avonmora step up its game.

Currently we have widespread monarchy across the seas. Each and every country in Avonmora is a monarchy and we the people should know that if we have different governments then we would be more occupied, right? Kart, Jim, DTT among others have been kings for somewhile and they know that when you go to your bed tonigh and wake up tomorrow it's the same thing.

Types of Government

Democracy

Give everyone in a country the right to vote and the power of trust that they need.

Republic

A literal democracy cannot be found in a state with few people. Allow the people to elect representatives to enforce laws.

Aristocracy

Have the elite members of society rule the government, conquer the enemies and fight for country not power.

Look at Avonmora, we have mixed republics, monarchies, aristocracies, democracies and oligarcies into one. Why? What are we going to achieve by doing this?

Is there more to it? A major cover up plan? Or is there something Avonmora don't want you to know?
The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

this is kinda a neat idea, but how would the nations change their ruling, I mean once someone seizes power, wont they more or less be able to keep it. it would probably take a lot of effort to implement this without it being easily abused.

Technically, being King/Queen can be gained or lost. Same as Governor. It is essentially a rank but unique to specific number of players in the nation.
Also, if you have enough players in the nation that are not just citizens, they have votes. the higher they go, the stronger their votes.
They can outvote a king easily with numbers. The king can only stop a decision if he uses veto power which is only useable if he has not cast a vote.

I know that kings/queens can be dethroned, but if this idea of different government types gets implemented, it could make a nation a complete Monarchy, which means that the king/queen has total power. which I do not like.

I think Monarchies got a bad reputation after the revolution age. There would obviously have to be a function to dethrone them in the game, whether it be money contributed by citizens of the nation to make them give their throne up or something like that. Of course, Communist should be a choice in this way. Everyone's trade total is combined into one and the distributed evenly. A true communist society has never been tested and maybe PG can be a pioneer.

yeah monarchies do have a generally bad reputation, as do communist and socialist governments. but so long as there is a way to change leadership no matter the government type I'm fine with it.
