oops as i never really read anything in the tavern i am very late with a reply to the original start of this thread,ie no ships lots of officers.

if it is me here is why.
i rarely raided other players.
i got tired of stopping or removing ships from fleets (trading)
i decided to sell all traders & give away sotls to my country or guild.
banked some cash & put even more into wales.

This left me with one small unarmed no crew lv 1 sloop,which until recently was often used by players to ravage.I never complained it was my choice so sell up & my choice to accept the consequences of being an easy fame farm.However,recently a new players (i think) called something like Hurricane Helena? chose to ravage my sloop without first sending me gold,so my last ship has gone & now the little easy fame target is gone the complaints start!
Well i made a promise to my guild mates & country that i would stick around to use voodoo when needed.I earned that voodoo & it is mine to use.i accepted the consequences of having a lv 1 sloop to get my ass kicked & have used hardly any voodoo at all since it was sunk,and most was the protective type,such as the mind bar on Mohammed.People here know the crap his country is going through and also that terrorists had blown up the internet connection so he could not get online,& then used that time to take his ships.SHAME ON THEM!

I suppose that you are aware that you can get a new ship from the shipwright for a mere 1000 gc (applicable only when you have no ships left).

I wonder who could be the scoundral ravanging your ships? Or use to at least... Eh, Old hurricane Helena Why I could of got some serious fame there... Regarding mohammeds ships, I have not stolen em, I just want to be kicked out of wales.

Yes Roberts i know you did all the mostly all ravaging and i didn't mind.I am not sure you can be kicked from wales i think you have to join another nation? i heard this via spain a while back.Mo lost a sotl,not saying it was you i read it in guild talk.However the guy has enough to put up with irl & we all knew that.For me even if it was my worst enemy i would not hit someone who was incapable of defending themselves.Its a game i know that,i just cannot leave my real self behind when it comes to when we should farm ships or not.No notice,30 days plus not playing is kind of my benchmark in any game,not that i am really active in any online games these days.This does not apply to active enemies or in war,unless i knew it was a rl problem,though i do like the not attack or be attacked option i have seen in other games when people know they will have down time in which case they cannot rebuild either during that period.In this game i would say they cannot lose danger either.

Jack,no i didn't know that,but i also do not really need one & anyone can still voodoo me,buy more packs and do it again once i build up the fame again

You cannot gather fame with no ships actually. You will keep losing it at update.

To get a new ship, simply go to the market. It will always sell a Cutter for a mere 1000 gc.

Interesting, I did not know that as well re:cutter.
Do romantic conquests not raise fame, or, just meeting all the daughters take it as far as it goes in that dept. ?

i have a few million banked in case i decide to start again,we will see.i don't want to sound like i am crying off here,but i was not supposed to spend more than 1 hour at my pc (i dont have a laptop) that was from february and i kind of got an all clear on wednesday,but with a warning!
i had an idea brewing in my head that 1 cutter players might automatically get one regenerated after one is sunk at the update.attacks would be limited to new players who had been here a week & only once.that way new players would get some fp and a nice easy to take ship with no crew or weapons?

I realized that the mechanism I had in mind, for some reason is not working.

I am speaking for this mechanism:

-If during the daily update, you have no ships, you lose 50% of your fame.
(Applicable to anyone that has 1 000 fame or more)
