6) New players don't have to go digging, the moment you press go to forums, the Help thread is right there.
7) If you want to argue retention rate, it's simply because people are looking for a game where you're the 1st person or 3rd person pirate sailing around on you 3D ship when this game simply isn't that. It's a game for intellectual people, who can understand the mechanics or methods of play.
I agree with numbers 1-7. Couldn't have said it better. I just recently got a very inappropriate message from a new player and if that was something that filled a guild discussion board that would be grievous indeed.
