Yeah but warrior, you're just stating the problem and not a solution. Btw the longer you play a game the stronger you will be, it works like that in a lot of games. The way they solve this is by capping how far a player can go e.g. max level or by limiting the growth of a player the more they grow. Thats what this game does. Everytime you need to build a ship, you need to buy a captain, which costs more every time you buy one.

I think what people are saying is that there is nothing in the game mechanic holding you back. If players and guilds and enemies hold you back, that's another thing, and thats what used to happen. If you had even a lev 3 SOTL and the powers that be didn't want you to have it, they sank it.

Now I think the way is much clearer to a very strong account. If I have a worry its Pirate's not really having good missions, no chance of earning MOW unless you steal one.

This is probably realistic, but I do think we should be compensated with a dedicated pirate ship, say a boarding ship with a lot of crew that would get bonuses against capital ships. Otherwise it can be frustrating as a pirate to ALWAYS be out gunned.

And what kind of ship would this be? A Dreadnaught?

Actually, that is besides the point, even though that would be pretty cool...

how can you say that you are out gunned when you have people with sloops that take down MOWs?

That is a little steep, but ok I take your point--its more at the top, how do you compete with a rich merch even with access to nation missions; of course you can, but hey an actual "Pirate Ship" would be cool in the game, n'est pas?

Pirate ships for the uninformed were not cannon driven, for that would hurt the prize. A disabilitating shot to the rigging or tiller, and if they didn't striker their colours, they would close, grapple, and board. A whole bunch of scurvy knaves in a fast boat. Ducking in and out of secret coves, short dashes.

Yeah, but give us a loaded up one for a special mission?

Much less guns but more crew and some sort of game dynamic that respects this in the combat, a bonus against big slow ships (like sotl and mow, galleons) and a minus against smaller stuff (sloops, hawkers).

I mean, I've said it before, but it bears repeating:

The Pirate's Glory game should, uhm, have a pirate ship...

You have a point Cappy. Pirates had to be resourceful without a nation backing them. They took what ships were available but I'll bet they modified the cargo hold to carry either more crew or more cannons or perhaps both at the expense of having smaller holds.

Of course this opens up a new voodoo card for pirates only that can make the modifications on any ship available to them.

just a quick question captain jack the game is currently in version 1.5 what is planned for 1.6 and 1.7 and rest tell version 2.0 as i know that is supposed to be when ship specialization is going to be implemented right ?
