Thank you for answering my question-so you admit that my advice is sound and is the best course of action-I don't know why you argued against it in the first place if you didn't have a better alternative. You don't fight law enforcement on the street-you don't argue with them-you don't debate with them if what they are doing is wrong or not-you just comply and fight it in court-you can ask someone to record it, you can ask for names and badge numbers, and do other things but ultimately, don't fight them. If they want to take you into custody, you're likely going to be taken into custody-or dead. Fighting them just makes it worse.

I wasn't like blanket disagreeing with you. From memory I said that if police don't have just cause to arrest you then isn't that illegal for them to detain and arrest you.
Honestly I think I slightly misunderstood you because I'm pretty sure at one point you said not resisting and going along with being illegally detained was the right thing to do and perhaps I interpreted that as like you were supporting people being illegally detained or something. There are options to solve this problem, some good, some not so good-but I think you're forgetting that, the regime in Iran isn't exactly popular by it's own citizens-there was literally mass protests recently-I think we can find someone to place in charge who will be friendly to the US. Or at least be smart enough to realize that, staying the good side of the US, will ensure they don't get blown to bits like the Ayatollah. Hell maybe we could carve Iran up-give parts of it to the neighbors if they want it-no more Iran-one less middle eastern country-and the neighbors getting a bit bigger-there are also I forget their name, but that minority group-the Kurds I believe? I'm sure they'd be happy to have their own little nation. Could just bomb them so much, that the nation is unable to survive or have to spend decades rebuilding before they can even think about picking another fight.

I'm no expert, so I can't say what would be the best solution-but those are just a few off the top of my head-so long as we make it to where these guys who have been chanting death to the West for nearly half a century are finally put down and no longer threatening others, I'll be happy if we manage that-if nothing else, at least this war will cripple them for a while, and kick the can of worms of them trying to harm us a bit further down the road-but I'd prefer it be solved NOW obviously.

Apart from giving the Kurds their own country I don't think that other stuff is viable. From my understanding a lot of ethnic and religious minorities in the middle east generate a lot of unrest because they are unhappy being governed by governments that don't give then adequate representation politically and I think splitting Iran into bits and pieces will likely make this 10 times worse.
I don't think bombing then back to the stone age is the right thing to do either. That will only make Iran's citizens hate the US more. From my understanding the best (but most expensive) way to go would be to go in and help rebuild the country just like you guys did back in WW2 with Italy, West Germany and Japan after ww2 because I know that definitely would help decrease anti american sentiment in those countries after ww2. But then that is really expensive to do and your deficit will only grow bigger.
That is why I don't think this war with Iran was fully thought through considering there is in my opinion no easy way out to make Iran friendly to the US. Sure the regime may not be popular but I really doubt Iranians still in Iran would have that much higher of an opinion towards the US.

If you must break the law and resist arrest in the usa my best advice is to not carry a weapon other than your feet and fists, I even support using your head to batter a face. But accept the whoopin that comes with it .... as you will get whooped.

They get a lot more from the US then they do from Iran. They don't seem to mind shitting where they eat with that relationship. The majority of NATO funding comes from the US-most of the military power in NATO is from the US-it would be one thing for them to not want to send boots on the ground-that's normal and understandable-this isn't Russia, and we were not attacked first-it's also still somewhat understandable they don't send ships to secure the Strait-yes, they rely on it more than we do, and it would be prudent for them to send ships to help secure it, but again, not a defensive war, so if they don't care if its' closed, I can't really fault them when they do nothing to secure it. However, to openly state, to the US-that they will NOT allow the US to use bases in their countries-bases that, let's be honest-we tend to pay for most of the costs of maintaining and arming, that is not understandable. At all. There is no substantial risk involved, no cost to it, it's just a **** move, to spite the US, and make the war a little more inconvenient-which, to do that to a nation that is supposedly your Ally, really shows that this is a one way relationship-and perhaps it's time to reevaluate some things.

Yes I suppose I do agree with you that Europe should allow it's bases to be used considering that Iran has hit the UK base on Cyprus and tried to attack Turkey as well. I am not exactly sure what the Europeans plans are. I honestly think that they have been thrown off by this war and are not sure what to do.

I'm not sure why Donald Trump is expecting Australia to help out more though. I mean to be honest we are already helping by detecting missiles and drones using our E7 wedgetail in the region to help the gulf states and the US intercept missiles and drones and Trump seems a little unhappy that we don't want to send any of our ships to help out.

I don't think it was necessarily him fighting but more being in pain from being pepper sprayed. I would be struggling and trying to rub my eyes if i got pepper sprayed.

I suppose yes he could have a second gun but that didn't cross my mind because in my mind you really only need one gun to defend yourself with but then again I don't live in America or think like an American
