I used to love this game. Learning the best trade routes trying to figure how to get resources around cost effective, now you can buy in the port. Supposed to have players moving the resources, that will never happen if noone can keep an armada going without making them all ship of the lines fucking stupid.. I mean war ships for trade get real.. learning what ships to use building an armada war sucked but made it interesting, reduilding. Now it's get as much tobacco or food as possible into a wearhouse before you get raided again. It's gay

Yeah, Levi Protection Ship Trait on cheap tails was a game changer. It made 3-4 SOTLs in a fleet a common occurrence. I get that it fixed the lack of SOTLS and MOW floating in game, but it allowed monster fleets to float around all but unchecked.
