Is there any way to show the original home port?

I didn't think this info was as important as it appears to be. I just joined the game and went of exploring not paying attention to where I started from.

The original home port isn't more important than any other as far as I know.

Indeed. You just choose your starting point in the map.

In the near future, you will also get a warehouse with some resources in your home port, when you begin (perk for beginners to make their start easier).

That sounds wonderful to get some resources already in your warehouse when you start! I am trying out the noob experience again and it is PAINFULLY slow and a bit frustrating. I will write a post about it soon explaining more.
