Eloth happily greets him

Hey Thomas, you bring any extra help, also be sure to stock up on any potions or ammo we got here.

Emily looks around

So where is the girl, I forget her name? Lizzie I think? If you lost her, I'm sure Veera can find a replacement soon enough. If nothing else, I have a backup plan that might work-though only as a last resort.

She gestures to a nearby coffin covered with runes.

My ship's surgeon had been into the grog... His hand slipped... he started to fake cry She's gone. I got the blood, however. As for supplies, I have a massive onboarding armory.

Veera silently face palms as Emily just looks at him before speaking in a very disappointed tone

You killed her didn't you? Honestly, if this task wasn't so important, I'd probably kill you for lying to my face like that-twice even. As soon as this task is finished, I never want to work with you or see you again.

Emily gets to work gathering up items as Veera quickly goes to Thomas and whispers to him

Shouldn't have fake cried mate, you oversold it- you had no issue saying you wanted to kill her when you talked to Emily, so just seems odd that you would be sad now. Anyway, thankfully she's still gonna help.

Eloth simply stands next to thomas and shrugs

Oh well. What's done is done. Why don't you go ahead and lead the way.

He strode forward, leading them not into the cave, but her basement, where he triggered a secret door that led to curling stairs that led deep into the island's bowels.

Your tower is actually the topmost point in a massive fortress. The chamber is somewhere under the dungeon. There will be traps and enemies of increasing power as we descend. A powerful Wraith and an army of lesser dead guard the chamber.

Emily nods

So that's what those stairs ultimately leads to. Found that passage a short while back, and have been having some of my golems try to clear the path. Haven't heard back for a while, so I'm guessing they either haven't finished yet, or are trapped or destroyed. There's a lot of other caves around the tower too, and other passages I've found, so my golems have been spread very thin. I did save a few for defense however.

She quickly goes outside her tower, instructing the men to go in, as well as shouting a command and the many statues suddenly start moving and begin heading in as well. Emily goes up to Thomas

So, you wanna take the lead, or let the fodder go first?

I'll lead. We'll need most of the fodder for when we reach the Wraith and his army. Though don't take my word on that. Gaster may have sent reinforcements.

He lit a torch, descending with his sword at the ready.

The rest follow suit, after a bit of time descending, they reach a chamber which has some golem parts lying around, with several doors opened along with a message scratched onto a wall left by the golems detailing which chamber they are trying to clear out first. Emily turns to Dreadbolt

So, do you know which way to go, or should we just follow where my first batch of golems went? If we need to go another way, I can run and gather them to help out if need be. I sent my best golem down here, and from the look of it, she isn't dead yet.

We must move downwards whenever possible. According to the map I painstakingly acquired, we need to follow your golems. I would suggest recalling them, however. The Wraith is no pushover. He was once an alchemist by the name of Michael Grimwood.

Emily shrugs

My golems can easily be replaced, so it's no issue to lose most of them. It's why I sent them down here in the first place. If they get destroyed I can just rebuild them later. When we find the golems I sent down, I'll have them join the rest of the fodder.

Veera looks around and starts to walk off saying to the other's as she leaves

You guys go ahead. I'll catch up. Gonna go take care of something right quick. Eloth, come with me. I may need your help for some of this.

Emily nods as she starts heading forward towards the path the golems made

Eventually, they come to a large chamber. Faded paintings and tapestries hung on the cold stone walls, and a long table dominated the room. It was destroyed, a large chandelier having fallen on it at some point. At one end of the table, a skeleton in a tattered robe sat. A dusty crown sat crookedly on it's skull.

The dining hall. We're about halfway there. We need to cut through the throne room.

At the sound of his voice, the skeleton stirred, using a previously unseen staff to stand up. It began launching fireballs at the remaining party members.

I guess we figured out what happened to Solsberg or whatever that wizard's name was.
