A Call to Arms against The Rebel Navy aka The Pirate Kings.

Dear citizens,

the scourge amongst us has risen to the surface, namely The Rebel Navy aka The Pirate Kings. Never have I witnessed such atrocities leveled at a single person. As the King's most humblest servant I have been targeted, not once...not twice...but over 100 times in less than 12 hours. These acts of cowardice resembled sharks showing no mercy to a peaceful minnow.

The historians may ask why? Why would they attack without prejudice, the leader of The Royal Navy? The answer is simple, they sensed they were going to be the victims. But let me cast the net further back in time.

It has been no secret that I have complained about numerous unprovoked attacks against The Royal Navy by the scum being that of the The Pirate Kings. In fact, other guilds complained to me wanting action also. I broached these breaches on numerous occasions where I actually received an apology from one of their main offenders -RoiLeon (#11503) - 2012-05-15 23:23:38

I personally want to apologize for my attacks on members of your guild and the attacks of the other members of our guild. We wish to maintain a peace with your guild. I can promise that these attacks will no longer happen.
-RoiLeon
Elite Officer of Pirate Kings

That's right, acknowledgement of his atrocities but still the attacks continued. And yes, he was one of the perpetrators. I complained again - 2012-05-25 07:51:19:

Dear RoiLeon,

these words are empty. I have taken my issue to Hellfire:

A Thieving Magpie sent by Fleet Admiral Billy (#10040) has looted the voodoo card Official List of Demands out of your inventory! 2012-05-23 15:46:12
2 A Thieving Magpie sent by Fleet Admiral Billy (#10040) has looted the voodoo card East India Company out of your inventory! 2012-05-23 15:46:05
3 A Booty Master sent by Fleet Admiral Billy (#10040) has looted 14,408 gold coins out of your treasury! 2012-05-23 15:43:34

Additionally I have been informed that today you have attacked one of my members. The King's tolerance has been tested to its limit.

No more chances. I mean it this time. You have been warned.

regards,

Horatio Nelson
Admiral of the Fleet
The Royal Navy

Then low and behold, I receive this reply from RoiLeon:

Your guild has been attacking us and voodooing us multiple upon multiple of times of which mostly, we ignore. The attacks from your guild have cost us 1million gold and fame. Still we ignored it for the most part and attacked back when necessary. Your guild needs to be kept in order because they have been attacking us at first sight unless my guild who asks permission before attacking a guild. On the affair of Fleet Admiral Billy he is barely active and does not read any of the forums. He was not informed not to attack your guild as are in the rules of engagement for us. We are not accountable for his actions but he cannot be punished because it is evening out the actions of your guild. We want to continue peace with your guild but only if you can stop your attacks on us can this truly happen. For now, i propose a cease fire. Any attacks by smaller members of our guild need to be ignored simply because they are new and don't listen to orders well. Newbs are newbs, we cannot guarantee that they will not attack but we will try to inform them not to.
-RoiLeon
Keeper of the Code

I could not believe my eyes when I read this. In fact, I am prepared to accept that the newest Royal Navy members may have performed attacks on any guild. Now, I have received complaints from other guilds on the odd occasion and every one who has dealt with me knows I deal with those who break our Rules of Engagement ruthlessly and expediently. I expel them unlike The Pirate Kings who harbor their criminals. And I believe that RoiLeon has concocted a fantasy when he accused the Royal Navy of plundering over a million fame points. But should I expect anything less from a liar? I let RoiLeon know this:

"Your guild has been attacking us and voodooing us multiple upon multiple of times of which mostly, we ignore. The attacks from your guild have cost us 1million gold and fame."

I expel members who break our RoE. I am not desperate to hold onto persons who break the code as you can see we are closing in on 100, and will surpass it in the next few days. I find it preposterous that you fail to inform me on any attacks until now, and then you concoct the "it cost 1 million fame" line with no evidence. Next time report it to myself and me only then I can check the screens to confirm it. At least I will do something about it unlike the the Pirate Kings who seem to do nothing but harbor such rogues. Pathetic really.

I strongly urge you to get your band of cut throats into order. As for that clown who attacked myself with voodoo cards...we are retaliating against him because of your guilds failure to instill discipline.

No more warnings for PK...my next discussion will be the shot of a cannon. Do I care about my fame....no. Do I care about The Royal Navy....yes.

Good day to you sir.

And then I was attacked by The Pirate Kings. I shall acknowledge their attacks as well co-ordinated and masterfully executed but that is the extent of my compliments. As far as I am concerned they displayed no ethical conduct in their attack on me, no restraint, and no sense of fair play. They have no Code just canons and voodoo cards. As stated, they harbor offenders of their Code because they do not have the conviction to deal with them.

I canvassed other guilds and the feedback was not favorable towards The Pirate Kings.I wanted to find out who was intending to support them if war was to occur, fortunately there are none - which is indicative of how respected they are by their peers. We of The Royal Navy shall attempt to quell this feces of the ocean so the disease of the unjust does not affect the masses.

This picture is actually larger though. They have attacked like a band of wolves before, are currently conducting unprovoked attacks with no diplomacy on myself and other guilds, and they will attack again. Something needs to be done before it is YOU.

The Royal Navy will attack The Pirate Kings at every opportunity as these bunch of opportunistic scum deserve to be wiped from the edge of the Earth.

Yes, we officially declare war for the sake of defending ourselves and our sovereignty.

And a final message from RoiLeon after the gutless attacks had been conducted on myself:

You do not have the experience to fight a war. We do, we have fought many and we have won them all. We have shown you the error of your folly. We have shown you that our purge is greater than yours. May god speed you to your demise or your surrender.

I shall reply publicly to this, as I understand this is now for the annals of the history books:

Dear Pirate King coward, please reread your message, Be careful, because your slip is peering from your skirts as you have revealed your smugness, your arrogance and your eagerness for war for the world to see. And it is laughable to believe that you will see to the demise of The Royal Navy because it shall never happen. Again you seem to live in a fantasy world.

Rule Britannia!

Dear citizens,

I shall also add that these faceless cowards obviously could not live under the banner of The Pirate Kings any more due to their spineless behavior and have changed their name to The Rebel Navy. They have also adopted our emblem with an apostrophe added. This is done to confuse people and I for one find this conduct and behavior weak and offensive. I have made an official complaint.

I present to you the list of shame for the reason that no one confuses them as [RN] members as opposed to their cheap tactic of [RN']

Straw Hat Luffy (#2835)
RoiLeon (#11503)
random pandah (#11157)
morningsun (#11583)
Captain Eli (#5135)
Chessie (#7723)
LoPhi (#8247)
HellFire (#1903) <---- The leader who should be ashamed of himself.
Barker (#14221)
mohammed (#10325)
Eirian (#13906)
Razgr1z (#10954)
Fleet Admiral Billy (#10040)
masterz (#14440)
Krendol (#14940)
Nemr (#8233)
kenpachi (#14677)
Captain J Sparrow (#14675)
Milady Mhela (#15063)
Sand Master (#15406)

...the other three or four are not worth a mention.

Rule Britannia!

I understand how that would be upsetting.. but I think that such a tactic is brilliant

While everything else you are saying may be relevant, I would not call that "not in the spirt of the game". Change guild names or tags for strategic advantage is well within the rules, and shouldn't be looked down upon

In addition Hellfire has not done anything outside the game rules to demolish you.. if anything is to blame it is the game itself and not a single player. It is unfair to accuse him of cheating because you are being beat fair and square according to how the game currently works.

Anyone would get upset in your situation, but these posts do not become a strong leader of the royal navy
Perhaps you should also think of some strategys that will help your current situation

Please do not feel compelled to bat for 'the old boys club' because you are clearly not being transparent in your views. Let's be honest - the tags are there as an identifier. To spell it out - they are to assist people identify or distinguish which alliance is which. So your line of thinking is that an alliance can change its name to modify their tags for the purposes of deceiving the pirate world? Is that really what you think the purpose of tags are for? You honestly are kidding yourself.

I have never branded Hellfire a cheat (please remove your blinkers) but I am stating he is not playing within the spirit of the game. I think his intention is obvious - maybe not for you as you are obviously bias towards your counterpart. Step back and be objective - the mods never created tags for the purpose of deceit. Or do you prefer a game where guilds change their identities every five minutes. As for the mechanics of the game - I have let admin know of my thoughts. Pew pew to you sir!

Well I'm just calling it how I see it.. I am all for fairness, but while changing the name is deceitful it's not against the rules and is a good strategy. Its not like pirates in real life would never pretend to be someone else it is very much "in the spirt of the game". Also what I meant about hellfire.. in other topics you were implying that he was taking advantage of the game as a mod, and possibly using that to gain an advantage (looking at RN guild info or something).

Anyways I don't like agruing about things that don't concern me, the only reason I posted is because I would have used such a tactic myself if I had thought of it

It is not in the spirit of the game if it is deceitful. Even if the mechanic allows a bug to be exploited - of all people - a moderator should not exploit it but should attempt to remedy it by communicating with the administrator.

And I have queried Hellfire's position as a mod because 1) mods should be setting an example ie not using decietful measures; and 2) I am concerned about my ability to maintain operational security withing my guild.

I shall expand - very recently I announced to all my members to maintain a look out for all PIRATE KINGS members. And in our guild we started a thread to identify their most recent locations. Low and behold - Hellfire changes his guild's name to carry a similar tag to ours shortly after. I am highly suspicious that he knew what we were doing and he changed his guild's name to avert or offset our intelligence hunting. Obviously, I expect he will publicly deny any such advantage but ADMIN should disclose whether MODS can view inside other guilds. It's a question of fairness. Now if you believe I am inferring he is a cheat that is your deluded opinion. However, I am entitled to ask the question.

And I shall say it again - if a moderator has privileged accesses to other guilds then they should be on an Admin guild for the purposes of ironing out bugs and assisting with tweaks - no more, no less.

Well it sounds like the main thing we disagree on is whether or not tactics allowed by the rules, but not well know or used before, should be allowed. I say yes.. that is why I play this game. Lets agree to disagree shall we?

Well can you please direct me to the rule where it states that guild names can be changed for the purposes of artifice? I probably expect the answer is 'no' which means it is a mechanic flaw being exploited. I think we just disagree whether it is in the spirit of the game to exploit this flaw.

I love your tenacity to leave out details to leave out facts, to leave out your intentions. Most of my guild are not pirates and we already had a name change in plan. I do admit though the initials were put in not as strategy but to simply piss you off and give us a laugh and the fact that you made this forum mean it worked! But now to become serious, yes Horatio we know you planed to launch an attack on us once you reached 100+ members, we know this. Being 2 members away, we saw fit to launch pre-preemptive strike which took a lot of thinking and deciding on whether it should be done or not. Our attacks were coordinated attacks and extremely strategic. Our attacks were within the rules of the game and you knew they were coming. You had already made the declaration of war. You say you expel members who break your RoE, then why is Inquisitor still in it? Then why is Captain Tay still in it, why is every midshipman you have still in your guild. You are wrong when you say that we don't expel our rule breakers,

You have broken the Pirate King rules of engagement by constantly attacking a guild we have a non-aggression pact with. In this time I cannot have that happening so I was forced to remove you from the guild.
====================

YAAARRR!! Where was that written?
Shall I know which bloody guild t'was?
====================
It was the CTC. I cannot have you attacking them. We have good relations with them.
====================
Deh! On the guild description t'was stated just
"The Salty Seamen [TheSS]"
which I never plunded...

Too bad for my money 'n rep! In the good ol' times t'was good custom to advise fellow pirates before annihilating their fleet. I'll seek to get back my gold, one way or the the other!
===================
It was in the first paragraph in bold on the newcomers guide that an announcement went out to read. I will just put you on probation until everything is worked out. I suggest you join the guild PGU in the mean time, they are very helpful.
===================
Thou are 'n ol' sweet pirate indeed!!
We'll surely meet again, ahoy!

Even then we show kindness. I don't think you should complain about how lacking your strategy is against ours or how fast we were able to attack but should be coming up with a way to counter and better control your members in a time of war. How can you call anything we did unfair? Plus, there is a rule against same guild tags.

Fight your own wars, we have not dragged anyone into this, in fact we were thinking of stopping there but this forum you created tells us again that we should continue ignoring you. We are not cowards if we attacked you and stayed in the place of attack instead of running. We are not cowards if we stood our ground. And the voodoo we used, it was well in the parameters of the game and was a strategy that everyone uses. It is nothing new. The strategy of going from the top of the ranks down, nothing new. We have shown restraint because we were going to let you rebuild and go on with your life. We still are. Even more so, we decided not to attack Talyn (Because she is friends with Eirian and has made great suggestions to the game), we decided not to attack Jouga (out of respect for the people under Xeps wing) we decided not to attack. I think that shows restraint. The fact that your fame is still above 1mill shows restraint. We are done with you, we do show extreme fairness, something you could never show.
In fact, I complimented you on your strengths in the announcement I gave my guild.
Title: Speech for prelude of war with RN
The Royal Navy is coming. Their numbers, over 100. Their guns, weak, but numerous. Their readiness, on the edge. Their confidence, dangerous. Our numbers, ~40. Our guns, strong but slow. Our readiness, dangerously unprepared. Our confidence, too dangerous.
The Royal Navy is a threat, they are not a quick win, they are strong. They do not care about the consequences and they are persistent. I have sent you all a speech already of RSH, but this speech is different. This is me telling you, this is a war on which we will suffer more than we might be able to give, but we must keep fighting, because tired they will become. Gods speed they say. Gods speed to your demise I say back. Prepare your fleets for war. Sell your merchants and create your best. Your merchants will cost you a lot to keep. They are already spying on us, be prepared. When they attack we will be ready, let them declare war first, when they do we will not be shocked by their folly.
War is imminent. With the speed of kings, good luck.

Keeper of the Code

I think I have ranted enough and so have you. And yes you are inexperienced in war having one fleet o war with lvl7 and 6 sotls, impressive yes because It took me pure luck to get my fleets.

All who want to fight us go ahead we are ok with that. All of you who want to remain peaceful go ahead we're ok with that because we don't have a hit list of guilds. And I think this goes as proof-
We should declare war on all other guilds. This would increase
our fame and members gold. It would also make our guild one not to be threatened. It would be pretty easy, the other guilds don't seem like a huge threat. A few war fleets should be able to do it.

We will never become the type of guild that attacks unprovoked.

If you do not like this, you are always free to go and seek your quest to glory elsewhere.

Right then and there I tested how fair the guild was and right then and there I found it out. To this day we follow that. Again congratulations on being able to whine about your lack of strength.
