I'll take your bet . I just checked and Joe's father died at 87 yrs and his mother at 93 yrs.
Although there is no guarantee Joe is going to live that long, odds are, with more advanced medical techniques he will prolly make it past his father in age. Barring stroke or massive myocardial infarction, which will be monitored for risk, chances are... I'll win the bet.

Regarding dementia, my mom has had dementia for a number of years (over 10) . I think you may be confusing dementia with Alzheimer's which is a much more severe form of mental disorder. Of course both ailments affects everyone in speed of progression to a greater or lesser degree.

I'll even bet Harris will not displace him during his first term but will run for pres in 2024.
Maybe she will run against Ivanka... Wouldn't that be a hoot !!

I think you are right. I admit I am no medical expert at all, but I remember my father told me once sometime after he was in the nursing home, that most folks with one of those diseases would typically die within a year or less after they fully lost their mind. One of his roommates was one such case, and was what prompted him to tell me that-he told me "figured he was gonna die soon once he lost his mind" and told me what he noticed. I think it was Alzheimer's and I just confused it with dementia. Again however, I am no expert, and I am basing it on an observation my father, who is also no expert, noticed in his particular home after some time.

So what will you be betting? 5 creds like me? I really am curious as to how this plays out. Though, this is all assuming Biden takes the presidency, and nothing happens like, fraud is proven and he isn't elected, or aliens come and enslave us or some other scenario.

Edit- also I think I remember hearing that when one is dying, that the mind is the last to go. Not sure how valid that is honestly :D

I got 5 credits that he will be around for a month after inaugurated before they try kicking him to the curb.

I refuse to bet on someone's death/physical decline. That's both unethical and a pretty awful thing to do.

You said some pretty nasty things about President Trumps corona bout if I'm not mistaken you f#$king hypocrite!

All we are betting on is how long before the dems sweep in to remove him from his position. Dont you dare try taking the high road after some of the horrible stuff you have said about your fellow man, your virtue signaling is done here.

yeah, I think he said he wished for him not to die, but to suffer from it to "learn a lesson". Or something along those lines. Rather cruel and unethical. Of course at this point, I've long decided that he was rather hypocritical. I'm rather bored so I think I'll even double check to make sure I'm not falsely accusing him or anything.

Edit- double checked. Took a bit but found it. He wished for him to go to the ICU. That it would be karma and then tried to backpedal and claim he isn't wishing harm on him. Just wanted him to learn a painful lesson.

See, this is a very big reason why I dislike talking to some people. I swear why do so many people try to act like they know so much more then they really do, and that their opinions are justified and right, and when proven wrong are so quick to backpedal, change what they say, and just be over all hypocritical.

Why can't some folks just outright say, I was wrong. Or apply their standard to everyone? I swear, I'm not religious, but if there is a god or goddess or gods, I can see why none of them visit or talk to us directly.

dont forget the stuff he said about how it was ok to hurt others with what he viewed as bad ideas, oh and the reprograming camps, and maybe some stuff about the looting and destruction of innocent peoples lively hoods and buildings was acceptable, oh and maybe even and... and.... and...

Yeah, real ethical kid.

So I still think they will use the 25th on Biden, but Stan makes an interesting point too.

Oh i almost forgot. Did anyone try the biden calculator trick?

So he was fighting for the soul of America remember? Text United at 30330?
So take the year 2020 and divide by 666 , and what do you get? :D :D :D

I'll bet what ever you want. Aside from assassination, Biden won the election and will end up in the big house.
Georgia is recounting but if you look at historical recounts they are always within a few hundred votes, not 14,000 difference.

Recounts will not change anything, once the ballots are in the pool of ballots they all look the same.

My guess, Biden will resign over health issues about 1 to 2 years in. He will push a bunch of executive orders, make good on all the favors he owes, and keep his son out of jail and then hand the keys to Harris.

There is no way he is going the full 4 years.
Think about it, there is no way the democrats are going to pass up bragging rights of being able to claim 1st female president by leaving it up to voters.
Having her in for at least 2 years would place her as a experienced incumbant giving her a pretty good shot for reelection in 2024. Giving Dems bragging rights of the first elected female president.

Now, I doubt you're right, William, but that made me think. As I understand it, no president can sit for more than two terms. But what if a vice president becomes president for some reason. Say Biden dies and she has to take over. Could she theoretically sit for this term plus two more, or would she then be restricted to the rest of this term plus one more term?

It would limit her to the duration of Bidens term plus 1 elected term
