I wasn't like blanket disagreeing with you. From memory I said that if police don't have just cause to arrest you then isn't that illegal for them to detain and arrest you.
Honestly I think I slightly misunderstood you because I'm pretty sure at one point you said not resisting and going along with being illegally detained was the right thing to do and perhaps I interpreted that as like you were supporting people being illegally detained or something. When that was not what you were meaning.
