Honestly all things considered, things could be much worse. I can't speak for other areas, but where I live, food is still available, along with a good number of fast food options. Toilet paper and paper towels is the main thing that's all gone, which all things considered is more of a luxury then a necessity. Far as I know, no one has ever died from not having them.
Edit-and a quick word of advice from personal experience. If you ever think to yourself, "Hey, maybe paper can substitute for toilet paper, I mean both have paper in the name, so worth a shot". You're better off using your hand. Getting a paper cut down there is not an experience you want to have
