Providing a real analysis of the issue is not defending anyone. It is the inherent issue when people of different opinions and playing styles try to work together to develop a game. Group think would make things move easier, but it would be a one track system and would be biased. Just the reality of the issue. A diverse group that has a relatively open development map is not going to simply come together and come up with simple solutions.
