Its plus ONE trait : which you choose and what ship you put it on and what level, att count or built-in traits exist on the nominsted vessel is down to the player.

Yes it would. I don't agree with being just a +1 trait. There are player that have setup and leveled specific ships for flagships and due to how traits work, their ship has only 1 trait. I find that a slight disservice to some players.


Which makes two-trait ships rare and valuable, as they should be. That may make 3 trait flag ships just as rare and valuable : 4 trait pirate flags will be even rarer again.

I have one two-trait warship and I had to buy it : none of my existing war vessels managed to gain two : most gained what I consider a junk trait so I've been pensioning them off. Is that fair or unfair? I dont like it seeing years of patient building and upgrading reduced to a heap of shyte overnight but it is what it is : my ship plunder and coin plunder counts are shyte too cos a big chunk of mine occurred before any counts existed. It is what it is.
No-one gets handed the perfect ship : you need resources : you need luck and you need the patience to build it into the perfect ship. Or you can steal it. Flags gonna be the same.

Danik, could you possibly add a passive counter to the OP? Simply a way to keep track of battles won and battles lost, versus other flagships, ships, and NPC's. This could be very useful, keeping track from day one.

For Review:

This suggestion is an excellent baseline for flagships. Have only 1 minor tweak and 1 addition to this.

1) There has to be an initial cost. Based on the subsequent amounts, 25 credits seems to be adequate.

2) Addition of stats tracking.

2 years :D while it gets re-worked several times and watered down further until all you can do is add a stamp to the hull and call it by name! ;)
