I am not persuaded for the ships market. While this was the initial idea, there is some ground of discussion here. You say need but why? I can see the problem for those no knowing what they put up but this can be remedied without revealing it to everyone.
Personally, I do not lean to either option. I stand right at the middle. The right argument will make it happen.Right now, the key argument is that the prospect of haggling for in-existent traits and tricking buyers is a good throw into the mix.
However, this defeats the benefits of having a market with integrity where a really good ship could sell for a lot.
However, I am leaning for the first option if we ever want to see "shipwright enterprises/business". In this sense, the ship built will now receive the name of the Enterprise instead of the player (at ship journal). We will have Shipwright stats and ships will be listed at the market under the shipwright title.
However, the game will not provide any insight in who is the shipwright owner while shipwrights could also select whether they want to list something under shipwright tag or anonymously. At the latter option, if added, no entry will be added to the journal (anonymous will be used instead).
Finally, we could have a reputation for each shipwright where buyers will be able to rate shipwrights and shipwrights will be able to comment as such. This could also be linked later with the business/stock model.
