As to restructuring the nation, I recall CJ rejected it before. However, if there is enough demand, reason and need, he may be open to it.

Chal, you have bumped many old threads that went untouched from several months to years without really saying why you think they are relevant or ask any questions about it. If you have a reason state it. Just bumping without knowing why you did it for such old threads is plain nuisance!!

no, what "is plain nuisance!!" is CJ rejecting this idea because as im sure youd be opposed to i could go through old forums and find people talking about how pirates were democratic and actually had structure

the name of the game is what again? merchants glory? no thats not it.. witch doctors glory? swing and a miss... itll come to me

maybe there should be more of an incentive to play as a pirate rather than to get wealthy as a merchant because the only players that stay as such are the ones who have been a part of action or a good guild and without incentives for the last waves of people to stick around this game will become awfully boring, with everyone in your guild and nation scared of weaning on something other than you

It's called pirates glory because being a successful pirate is not meant to be an easy task. There is nothing glorifying in an easy accomplishment. Do you congratulate your self after clicking your mouse or velcro-ing your shoes? Doubtful, because it doesn't take much effort and there is nothing rewarding in accomplishing it.

Furthermore, an abundance of merchants is required. If we had an abundance of pirates, who would they plunder. The pickings would be slim.

So stop your whining.

your logic in saying an abundance of merchants is required is sound but the point after that is lost on me, pirates fight each other as well as merchants, and the current state of the game there are very few active pirates compared to when i first started. its called pirates glory because captain jack wanted to call it that i dont think you have to reach so far into it to pull out the "nothing worthwhile is easy and nothing easy is worthwhile" mantra

whine
(h)wīn/Submit
verb
gerund or present participle: whining
complain in a feeble (lacking strength of character) or petulant (childishly sulky or bad-tempered) way

suggesting that there be features added and stating what everyone accepts as truth isnt whining, just because you made a disagreement in your head doesnt classify my posts as tantrums

If I recall correctly the reason it was rejected is because pirates are not a nation and have no government z it is meant to be as the fall out group. That is why at one point me among others suggested Sanctioned pirates or the letter of marquee whatever you want to call it where a pirate can actually belong to a nation.

If you complain about no incentives as a Pirate then i suggest you talk to Vane, Shadowood, Banger, Nelson or Dman. They all did so well. Going back further TPK, and Juicy are great examples too.

Actually, pirates in the early 18th century had a government on New Providence

i ask you what incentives there were to be a pirate in terms of nationality and the game's nation system(which is what this post originally concerned) dear phoenix boy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Governanc ... ury_piracy

the entirety of this article points to the governance of pirates, whether it be on ships or a group en masse lol, why should the nation designated as a "fall out group" receive so little benefits regardless of who is in it? if someone gets the black flag and keep it it usually means they are inactive, for those of us that would like to be in this nation it isnt a good opportunity because of the lack of rewards

i find it funny that you can call it a fall out group and argue against having structure or any meaningful features as if thats what a general consensus of the players are, even though there are benefits present today showing someone along the way either suggested it and/or cj thought it important, though if i went and found this out im sure my post would be flagged for necroposting and being a nuisance mr phoenix

haha you dont like pirates because you have 125 fleets of nothing but poorly guarded ships and make yourself an easy target but after being attacked for 2 years youre still too lazy to put even 1 decent ship somewhere in the mix guluere :$ id estimate youve been a most generous donor of around 100 million to me so far
