Hello everyone,

Here soon I will be doing an official training course for new players and not so new players alike. This will be done in Google Classroom and will have basic worksheets and notes for all to use for future reference.

There will not be official homework, but study guides that can be completed and checked by teachers in the course for accuracy or tips to add into notes. The purpose will to make a sort of Avonmora Academy for players to graduate from. Graduates must score at least an 85% on the final exam for graduation. At that time, whoever passes receives 5 million gold and 10 creds for participation.

Players may take a pretest to see what they are to prepare for the final exam. Players may only take this course once. If a player drops out of the class, they may take it again without toll or grief. However, abuse of this forbids players for up to 3 months.

What do you guys think so far of the idea? I am looking for vets to help teach certain aspects of the game as I do not know everything there is to know. This will cover everything from trading, voodoo, marketing, diplomacy, raiding, and much more.

I have made the classroom already, but am busy and out of town lately. Not much time to make study guides nowadays :D will be fixed soon though.

What do you guys think? :))

I gave an honest opinion with a meme.
I am sure one of those slated to teach it felt it threatened their hopes of trying to remain relevant and be respected by new players, as the old ones do find them laughable.
A list of teachers would be helpful as you see some would give new players the idea that this a report and hissy fit haven.
In general no text lesson prepares for this game.
HELM has massive libraries of vital information all of which is not understood until the real events happen.
Avonmora is its own online course. :D
damages or butthurt received in the posting of these words is solely yours and yours alone
if counseling is needed therapist ahben buthert or cryin ferdays is available at the tp kleenex & creme clinic

Same post 3 times in under an hour. Spamming.

But what do I think? I think that is something that should be handled within the confines of a guild, not the forums.

Of course it should be. That's why CJ made a topic a while back about the importance of training guilds.

With Google Classroom, students get their own personal notes to make and use for the final exam. This will be a much more effective way to teach than to read. Plus the reward in the end gives them that needed motivation to learn :)) We can make small videos to post for work as well to demonstrate tactics as well. Limitless possibilities :y

So dez, so far I am just developing notes then will make a curriculum once completed with basic notes. But before that I want to confirm if the community really wants this to make it worth the work behind it.

First will be basics being taught. Danger points, trade routes, pricing, and fleet set ups.
Next are advanced, like voodoo tactics, cargo tactics, hunting, and ship-voodoo combos.
Then expert stuff, like treasury raiding, national voting, diplomacy, gold trading, starting ones own guild and nation effectively, etc.
Just a general idea of what to expect.

So far it's just me. Anyone interested in teaching I can talk to about what they know. I am specifically looking for veterans to help out as they know the game better than anyone. Example: CDV, Phoenix, Pellew, Wolfie, Danik, Sparrow, SHM, and more.

But anyone with the knowledge to teach is good in my book :) Nelson, Shadow, and Banger have shown exceptional knowledge in the game so far, and this also includes feniks and mugiwara. I may have missed a few, but you know who you are :)) :y

Seems unnecessary as that is the purpose of training Guilds. I don't see how players are going to want to use this when the same info can be found in game. As well, there is also the fact that not everyone is online at the same time. Instruction would be difficult at best using this method. A proper training guild can do this, without the fancy addition of another application.

This was just meant for a way to have an education on the game whether you are a lone wolf or are in a guild. It's a fact that not all guilds can teach everything perfectly. Some are Damn close and they do a great job, however HELM is the closest to a training guild for their promotional stuff and graduation prizes. This is just free education without a guild needed and provides free knowledge. There is lots of knowledge only taught to the exceptionals. I know this personally from what I've seen. Knowledge is for all to obtain. :))

Study guides are at one's own pace. It will be worksheets done on one's own time and can message us for questions regarding the final or can ask for additional materials to help them learn. :)
