I think IOM and UK misunderstood something.

My message to both King’s were meant as a heads up towards Dman unprovoked threats to attack nations and ports.
He is the one threatening to escalate and involve parties who are innocent on the matter.

We can not dictate how every player behaves or retaliates and it was meant solely as a heads up towards possible retaliation by others as a result of his actions.

1) Why did the UK even need to be breathed into this statement? Dman isn't UK nor does he have anything to do with the UK.
2) I agree with most of what he has to say. I think bringing ports in should be an absolute last resort but not off the table.

I wish you would have posted the conversation in its entirety because it would have give context. The fact of the matter is you guys want moderation in privateering which is hilarious. Just last week I had a couple different players say to me, "lets bring back the old ZomB days and see how they like it." The fact of the matter is that Avonmora has gone soft and you old timers just want that the fat to get fatter and to raise more fat producing cats to feed your nations. This will never happen, ever. There is a group of us that will always maintain piracy and as long as their are huge unprotected fleets running around the likes of Lodswe, Minoan, etc., etc. I will hit them until there is nothing to hit. Only fools run around with tons of coin on hand and no protection. You fix how the merchant operates, you fix the problem. You will never curb piracy try as you may.
