Actually now that ai have thought about it, a flail, a morning star, warhammer, poleaxes, giant rock, basically most blunt things kill you when you have armor.

Carl laughs.

Kill a normal man sure. But you think i havn't had to fight armed men with just my fists before? Sure with these fist fights i get hit quite a bit-but its cause i know those hits won't kill me. When i have to get serious, i can dodge a blade quite well, and i am quite good at improvising with whatever is around me. Like those glass bottles, or this stool. It would take a VERY skilled swordsman to actually kill me, and if i feel i may die, i am quite good at running.

Besides, another big advantage I have is most men with a sword feel confident attacking an unarmed man. Especially a tiny man like me. Often times a rather skilled swordsman will think I'm easy prey, and when they realize I'm not, its normally too late. A quick strike to the solar plexus and their breath is gone, followed by a second to the neck and they drop dead.

Jack smiles

Aye, but don't go trying to do anything to me mate, I've never lost a fight with a sword in my hand.

Carl laughs.

Nah, your alright mate, have no intention of fighting ya, unless you ever wanna have a friendly fist fight. Besides, a lot of the advantages I normally have fighting others with don't apply to you. You seen how tough I am, you wouldn't underestimate me, and with how good your with your sword, id have to run rather then fight you. I may be crazy, but I know when to run and when to fight.

Jack takes a sip of rum

So mate, what were you a captain of?

Eric walks into the Tavern. A young woman in tow.

Sorry it took so long, I had to make a detour. Do we have any rooms available?

Carl shrugs

Was captain of a Spanish navy boat, though I can't really remember much about it. One day I went out on patrol, then I come back with all my crew missing, completely insane, and no idea of what the hell happened. Most of my time serving in the navy is foggy too but everything before then is clear as day. Think it best if I don't remember. Some things are better off forgotten honestly and if I forgot it in the first place, it must have been a memory I didn't want.

The barkeep nods to Eric.

Aye, we got rooms still. 1 gold for the communal bedroom, 2 for a double, and 5 for a private room.

[DezNutz]

I'll take the private room.

Looks at the young woman and hands her a small pouch of gold.

Here is some gold coin, go get the room and make yourself comfortable. I'll be up later.

The girl leans over and gives Eric a kiss and whispers into his ear, then heads over to get the room. Eric looks at the barkeep.

I'll take a glass of rum.

[Meliva]

The barkeep hands him a large metal mug of rum.

If you wanted that in an actual glass container, I'm afraid I don't carry them. Drunkards are so damn bad about breaking it, that I switched all the cups to solid metal mugs. It also doubles as a fairly decent bludgeoning device too. In fact that one you can see the faint imprint of some poor sod's face.

Carl actually stops and looks at the mug, and recognizes it as his own. he laughs.

Oh I remember that, I think that was last night when I was here. Bloody good times.

I bet it was.
